is there a last gasp of life in Leinster football, besides big blue? best to both teams maroondiesel (Mayo) - Posts: 1226 - 02/07/2018 18:28:48 2117853 Link 0 |
Both teams will fancy this, good draw at this stage for both to get their teeth into, and a chance of the Super 8s for Kildare who, remember, were beaten by Carlow, amazing stuff. realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8753 - 02/07/2018 18:34:59 2117855 Link 1 |
Fermanagh 11/4 to win this, some value there I think. TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 4516 - 02/07/2018 19:05:01 2117877 Link 0 |
You should know, being from Mayo

Kildare will learn from the Carlow game and I'd imagine they will bring an intensity to their game, not allowing Fermanagh to settle into their system. Brolly was right about Donegal, they didn't fall into the trap, when you stop overthinking the Fermanagh system, play with intensity and push up on them, you find they are very limited. Fermanagh will battle but Kildare by 5 plus for me. sam1884 (UK) - Posts: 999 - 02/07/2018 20:53:23 2117906 Link 0 |
I was surprised to see that Kildare were clear favs with the bookies in this one. I'd have it closer. realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8753 - 02/07/2018 22:04:06 2117930 Link 0 |
I'm going to the other thread, there's something different about it realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8753 - 02/07/2018 22:05:13 2117932 Link 1 |
Agree with other comments. If Kildare have learned from Carlow game, we will win. If not, we won't. KildareKelly (Kildare) - Posts: 593 - 02/07/2018 22:24:02 2117938 Link 1 |
How neutral is Navan? Maybe Fermanagh fans would judge Clones to be equally neutral.

Think you had better leave out the Mc on this occasion.

Something tells me that Fermanagh are going to go for it and give it a right lash. They have the basis of a good team if they drop the ultra defensive style. They scored 2-15 against Dublin this time 3 years ago going man for man, has anyone managed that since. The midfield battle could be decisive here, both very strong in this area. Fermanagh will be fresh and they don't usually do self pity. If management realise that what they are doing is outdated. the people that say it is one to be avoided could be wrong. I like many others will want to see the underdogs, wee Fermanagh going through to the Super 8s. I think Kildare will be extremely worried if they looking back at their weaknesses this season and with Fermanagh being a cleverly defensive won't help the Lilly's confidence either. Possibly so. I didn't really mind where it was. It was always going to be one or the other.

Not sure if Fermanagh are that much of an underdog. They got to an Ulster final after all although I accept Kildare will be buoyed by the victory last Sat. All I know is that Brewster or Newbridge will be very tricky on wend July 21/22 for our boys even if we are improving incrementally.

RD where is the handiest spot to park for this game? For the league game I was down in good time and parked in Lidl. Can't see that working this time though. gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 05/07/2018 12:59:53 2118809 Link 0 |

this one is really too close to call...kildare may just shade it by a point, but it really is very close..kildare certainly not good enough to be overwhelming favourites mayotyroneman (Tyrone) - Posts: 1821 - 05/07/2018 18:59:37 2118904 Link 0 |
