This time the lillywhites will not get their own way either in terms of venue but also will face our Erne term that has no fear of taking on the 'shock-progressed' team to make it to the Super 8s! TurnipHead. (Fermanagh) - Posts: 253 - 02/07/2018 09:29:17 2117525 Link 0 |

Be rooting for Kildare and all the other Leinster teams. TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 4516 - 02/07/2018 10:56:32 2117572 Link 0 |
Firstly, the venue was always neutral. Secondly, if you were that good you wouldn't be in the qualifiers.

It will be a tough game, and I hope Kildare win

Any ideas on venues? I've heard that Breffni might have the work finished in it, would be perfect venue i'd have thought if it's ready to go. Can't think of any other venues that might work? Clones? Carrick on Shannon?

Definitely a tough game. Winable for both teams.

I would have liked to have seen both teams in the super 8's but as it is it will be an intriguing contest, Kildare are on a high and will have a spring in their step and I think they will have too much for Fermanagh, but it will be hard fought. Fighting talk right from the off, interesting game but Gallagher is going to have to bring another dimension to the Fermanagh game, I certainly wasn't impressed with how how done things v Donegal, Kildare to progress........

I think Fermanagh will be very happy with this draw. I genuinely think Kildare are tailor made for Fermanagh. bigfrankt (Monaghan) - Posts: 123 - 02/07/2018 12:07:01 2117636 Link 0 |
Will be a good physical game. Cant see Fermanagh going toe to toe against us so we will be looking for the likes of paul cribbin to drop them in from range. Id say Kildare will win tho. We have momentum whereas ye were beaten off the park by Donegal with donegal scoring twice your tally.

Very interesting one, Kildare have struggled against defensive teams this season and last season already so it will be an intriguing encounter Barrowsider (Carlow) - Posts: 1710 - 02/07/2018 12:16:49 2117640 Link 0 |
This is a great observation and the reason I think the game will be tight. Kildare really struggled against Carlow and Fermanagh would have a similar playing style. Kildare should be on a roll now but Fermanagh could frustrate them, really intriguing game. The prize of a place in the Super 8's is massive for both teams, would really give them something to build on.

Also Armagh last season frustrated them, of all the games in the 4th round this is the one I'm most looking forward to

The other way to look at it is, our defence gives you a chance to score but Fermanagh don't look to break forward too much, so will they be brave enough to come out and take advantage of us? If they don't and we score even two thirds of our Saturday night tally then we should win. Its going to be intriguing.

Kildare were really suffering due to no free taker v carlow and most of the league. O'Connor had a complete nightmare of a game v carlow. Luckily Neil flynn is flying at the moment. I think if Kildare kick from Range we will really rattle Fermanagh in the first quarter and see where we go from there.

:) 1. Becuase it's Kildare 2. Can you imagine the fit the Brolly with the holes will have....its not about participation anymore just style it seems. 3. Get Arlene down to Croker sit her with Leo, she'll be alright he won't lay a hand on her! 4. Can you imagine the worse Jim Mc....will have..................no not the Donegal lad but the TUV one witnof (Dublin) - Posts: 1604 - 02/07/2018 17:13:49 2117816 Link 0 |
Looking forward to this game, be interesting to see how Kildare copes with the tight defensive structure Fermanagh will bring to the game. It's not pretty football but one has to use what limited resources one can. OrielAbu (Monaghan) - Posts: 21 - 02/07/2018 17:53:51 2117839 Link 0 |
Interesting one alright, was thinking that myself this morning. Kildare are big and athletic, but maybe lack the silky passing of other sides. Against Mayo it was fine, as Mayo tend to play a more open style, but Fermanagh are a formidable defensive outfit, which Donegal struggled with for long periods in the Ulster final. This should be an interesting battle, Kildare will be coming in on a high. Commodore (Donegal) - Posts: 1346 - 02/07/2018 18:13:35 2117847 Link 0 |
