Before there is another debacle what are the rules here; I know it's open draw for pairings but how is home advantage decided; do the beaten provincial finalists get home draw hithimhard (Tyrone) - Posts: 20 - 27/06/2018 23:01:42 2116214 Link 0 |

Maybe Buble would consider playing in Healy park?

Usually the Round 4 games are at a neutral venue, possibly a double header in Croker Hill16Army (Dublin) - Posts: 88 - 28/06/2018 16:18:54 2116457 Link 0 |
Not down that road again?

Can anyone confirm that for Round 4 of the qualifiers, can there be repeat meetings from earlier? macca999 (Fermanagh) - Posts: 1169 - 28/06/2018 20:04:35 2116521 Link 0 |
No repeat pairings where possible. Last year Down could only play Armagh or Monaghan in round 4, as they had played both already in Ulster there had to be a repeat pairing. Fermanagh won't be playing Armagh or Monaghan this year in round 4 as there will be other possible opponents.

Thanks Soma Was that with the A/B that meant they could only meet Armagh or Monaghan last year? Avoiding repeat meets is a great rule! macca999 (Fermanagh) - Posts: 1169 - 29/06/2018 03:03:42 2116576 Link 0 |

Be interesting to see how the GAA manage the venues for this. TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 4517 - 01/07/2018 10:35:45 2117100 Link 1 |
It's already down for neutral venues. Kildare v Ros/Laois in Tullamore possibly? Kildare v Cork in Semple or Kildare v Fermanagh in Navan? kildare73 (Kildare) - Posts: 854 - 01/07/2018 14:51:35 2117200 Link 1 |
Don't be surprised to see any of those pairings fixed for Croke Park. Most likely double header.

I'd love to see Fermanagh and Kildare in the super 8's, looking forward to the draw. Tirchonaill1 (Donegal) - Posts: 3201 - 01/07/2018 15:10:16 2117208 Link 0 |
Croke Park is unavailable for that weekend.

Yeah very true. Although putting Cork and Kildare in Croke Park does sound especially stupid. Semple held that game comfortably a couple of years ago and can't see much of a Cork crowd travelling to Croke Park. Double headers of some kind in Croker does seem likely.

Would be hard given Micheàl Buble has a concert there next Saturday

Wasn't sure when Mick Bubbles was there. No Croker that week so.
