Dublins neutral game is played in Dublin its as simple as that. In a stadium where they play 95% of their games whether drawn away from home or not. The dubs can post all the facts and figures they want but thats the bottom line. 81% of teams with home advantage playing teams from the same division have come out as winners from 2008 to 2012 and im sure those figures would not have changed much in recent years. Whoever is in their group in the super 8s over the coming years have a big disadvantage unless the rules are changed to a fairer competition for every team involved. Secondly would the Rossies vote to play their Connacht championship games in a 2000 seater stadium where perhaps 4-5000 of their fans would be left without tickets? I'm asking because requesting Dublin to play Meath in Navan or Kildare in Newbridge would be asking them to leave masses of fans without tickets. Why is it such and issue for fans not to get tickets to matches? If they can't go then, tough. The terms and conditions on season tickets cover this eventuality anyway. This is the problem of the gaa these days, they are more concerned about what the fans want that they put all that and earning more money above the ineterests of the players who play the game. If Dublin or anyone are drawn fair and square to play away in Newbridge or navan or wherever and every Dublin fan who can't get a ticket can't go then so be it!
