Replying To Toney:  "The wind contributed to the amount of scoreable chances kicked wide. Anyway poor game management cost the Tones. How did they leave Conlon one on one for the entire game?"
I was at the Tones Cillies game - I thought it would be close but I did think Tones would be too strong. It might not have been a cracking game in terms of skill but it was really enjoyable to watch as a neutral. Like a previous poster, I can't believe Tones didn't do more to curb Conlon. He really was the stand out player. This group is shaping up to be an interesting one! Rathkenny, Ratoath, Cillies and Tones will be itching for the final rounds!

Brennan will take the plaudits for St Colmcilles after scoring the winning point. But for me Conlon's performance was the winning of the game. He can be unmarkable when left isolated up front and Tones paid the price for being tactically naive.

Replying To Ratoath Royal:  "Great results for both Cilles and the Ha.
I think Cilles are seeing the benefit of having the winter off. They were not as bad as their points total showed last year.

Will there be any more championship games scheduled before the Leinster championship?"
The next round is fixed for August, but that could be presuming Meath are still in the championship in late July. If Meath get knocked out you'd like to think it will be sooner.

Replying To Bear10:  "Absolutly re Na Fianna , It is a matter of them holding on to their senior ranks now and should be competing in 3 or 4 years time as have had good minor teams over last few years but will need a proper management structure in place to guide them through this period . Summerhill have better older players than Na Fianna at moment and wlll contest maybe a quarter final stage this year as year goes on. Based on yesterday Both Kells & NOM look contenders now and are a level above both the other two ."
Maybe we were too quick to write off the Enfield/Baconstown boys!

Yeah - I would never have thought of Tones as naive but they were yesterday. They tried 3 different players on Conlon during the game and none had any real success. Cillies played much of the game with 14 men between the opposition 45 and their goal leaving Conlon loads of room. Cillies played with a sweeper in front of their full back line making it hard for Tones to get the ball into their full forward line. Surprising that Tones didn't drop their spare man back in front of Conlon!

I know I'm gutted. But sure mine were laughable according to some. Still though both cilles and bracks won. So I'm happy.

Thank you. The ha has a good set up and imo are not going down, now those words could come back to haunt me. Absolutely thrilled for cilles. I think they are been underestimated this year. And while they won't win they will have a say in who does.

looks like I sure was. What a turn around for them from o mahonys game. Looks like they got there team selection right.l on the night and fair play to them. Kells must have been caught on the hop . Summerhill also turned over skryne which I thought would happen . Well done to Curragha also on a great display. Nor sure who now will emerge from this group but I still fancy Kells to be one of them

They've been the top team in the group stages the last 3 years! Id say save comments like that for September!

Was at the Dunshaughlin game and the umpire got it spot on. Ball picked straight up off ground. What should worry Dunshaughlin is that they still depend on Maloney and Crimmins. They seem to be a team who don't even have a plan a. Won't meet many weaker teams in the championship this year.

Only ONE wrong in senior. Even called a draw.

They may be looking good but that counts for little - its winning it that counts and they have not won too many if my observations are correct. You do not win a Keegan cup in April and there's a long way to go-the are contenders like all the rest.
