Really?
What's pinkies view on Tommy Walsh, Eddie Brennen, Jackie Tyrrell, Henry Shefflin and Michael Rice on TG4 - all media men and all Kilkenny hurlers - there're just the ones I can think of, there's probably more.
In fairness to Lee, once he stated he was a fulltime hurler that just became the story with the media. I don't think he's going around saying "I'm a full time hurler" just for the fun of it. He's committing his youth to Wexford hurling so if you're a genuine supporter, lay off and give him the respect he deserves."
You just listed 4 retired players."
TJ Reid was often interviewed over the last few years- hes all over all the papers all week this week again. And no1 in Kilkenny is saying that hes going to play badly against Dublin come May because of it. Henry Shefflin likewise for the last few years before he retired. Cillian Buckley was all over the papers the week before TJ Reid. Star players perform media engagements to promote the sport we all love. Lee wouldnt have done any more than Dee O keefe or Paudie Foley this year. So why is everyone making a big deal about him saying hes not working fulltime? Because the media made a big deal of it.

The media only report on stories they are given......those lads were in the paper promoting the semi and league finals.
4 retired Kilkenny players, is not a valid comparison.

Agree with team outlined a couple of weeks ago by the post_USA.....reckon O Hanlon will get found out on the bigger pitches.....would worry too that our media profile is bigger than what we can deliver as a hurling team this Summer

Lee chin made that comment while promoting the 2018 Beko club bua award scheme with Ciaran Kilkenny. It wasnt an in depth interview or a press release. Or a "story they were given". He might sometimes say too much (ask the Canadians!) but I dont think he meant for it to be blown out of all proportion. And I certainly dont think his own, ie us wexford supporters, should be criticising him for what was probably to him a fairly casual remark made while promoting a gaa initiative.

Guiney is gone somewhere that nobody on here seems to know about yet, or the media for that. I have it from good sources he isnt in the panel anymore. Obviously i dont know this for certain (im not on the panel!!) so Im just seeing has anybody heard the same.
