hope he has something to show for it when it does."
Hope so. Hes putting everything into making our county team as successful as possible. Hopefully there'd be some role as a fulltime coach or hurling promotion officer there for him when his playing days are over.

Has he done any coaching qualifications?
Has he any experience or than playing?
We have been down the road of jobs for the boys before and that didn't work.
Lee will be unlucky to miss out on the start of the professional GAA era that is not far away.
The GPA have done a great job in creating a big divide in the association it's all based around county players now and they will continue to get more and more every year.

Get a grip and leave the lad alone. What business is it of anyone on here what he does with his life? He has huge potential both on and off the field so good luck to him.

Fully agreed, he is a great personality aside from his skill on the field and no doubt he will do very well after he steps away from playing

We seem to be outliers when it comes to our approach and seem to lose possession more often than not

As gminor said, get a grip and leave the lad alone, your interest in lee chin should be no more than what is his hurling ability and how is his form playing for wexford , how he decides to live his life is none of your business and should not be discussed on any forum, your comments are well out of order.cop on and shut up

I find these county players dull enough I have to say. Sometimes they get put into media roles but just because they can hurl doesn't mean they are charisma or whatever.

Derek McGrath regretted saying he stepped away from teaching last year. Then people started to ask was he neglecting his day job when doing both.

Head down, mouth shut, do your talking on the pitch is my preferred way.

7 pages on the club scene. It doesnt seem to generate the same interest. Shame too. Probably because there are so few senior clubs relative to the number of parishes. Our team are intermediate A . Some good young fellas on the team but probably not good enough to be poached by a senior club. Nearest senior clubs are Glynn Barntown and St Martins. I dont think Id support either in fairness. Id support the county u21s and the senior team but I wouldnt have the same interest (or time to be honest) in watching 2 other parishes that I dont live in playing eachother. Ill bring the young lads to training when they get older and encourage them to stick at it and give it their best shot but thats probably as far as my input into the club scene will go.

You're a bit all over the place there but let me try and decipher what your saying. It's OK for you to splatter all over this forum but senior intercounty hurlers know nothing and and if they are asked a question they should keep their mouths shut - is that what you're saying? is there a bit of jealously there on your behalf or what's your problem?

In his defence, I have never seen a player who is all over the media playing well. It just heaps the pressure on.
It is nobody's business what Chin does for a living, etc. But then stop telling everyone over and again that you are a professional hurler.
Kilkenny over the years are the perfect example, do your hurling on the pitch not on the paper.

Yea of course gminor I was spout away here and it doesn't matter as it's anonymous and I'm not a county player.

I wouldn't advise too much talk to the media.

In this case I don't what's to gain by telling everyone he's a full time hurler.

A slightly different point was that a lot of these county lads think they've got great personalities or are suited to the media but aren't really. For a start their grammar doesn't tend to be the best ("I don't this, I don't that", it's "did").

The ex Cork Camogie player Anna Geary has made the transition alright.

Pinkie is right the KIlkenny lads just go out and hurl.

Really?
What's pinkies view on Tommy Walsh, Eddie Brennen, Jackie Tyrrell, Henry Shefflin and Michael Rice on TG4 - all media men and all Kilkenny hurlers - there're just the ones I can think of, there's probably more.
In fairness to Lee, once he stated he was a fulltime hurler that just became the story with the media. I don't think he's going around saying "I'm a full time hurler" just for the fun of it. He's committing his youth to Wexford hurling so if you're a genuine supporter, lay off and give him the respect he deserves.
