This will probably be the curtain raiser but in fact will probably be a better game than Dublin v Monaghan..... Role on next week we got the draw we wanted.... cuchulainn35 (Armagh) - Posts: 1688 - 30/07/2017 15:56:01 2025945 Link 1 |

Think you did as Dubs would probably have a field day against you and you feel you have a better chance in a local derby. I would try and not be so relaint on Clarke as he doesn't do well against Tyrone - not sure who will step up though?

A better game than Dublin v Monaghan ? Why would you think that ? At least it will be an open game of football , and for the record we are not one bit afraid of playing Dublin

Dubs would have a field day against the vast majority of teams.

Please God don't try to play an open game of football against Dublin!

No disrespect to Mon/Dub but Armagh and Tyrone would be the slightly more exciting encounter Helm82 (Armagh) - Posts: 13 - 30/07/2017 17:08:04 2026005 Link 0 |
Great draw for armagh alright but Tyrone too streetwise to slip up here. seanie08 (Monaghan) - Posts: 1889 - 30/07/2017 17:11:05 2026008 Link 0 |
1 on 1 - will Tyrone be attempting to play more players?

The hope would be that they would play the ball.

I expect Tyrone to beat Armagh by 5 or 6 points. galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2614 - 30/07/2017 20:10:26 2026170 Link 0 |
If you were a betting man it looks like Tyrone to lose. But Mickey will hardly underestimate McGeenys ability to focus a team Spiritof28 (Kildare) - Posts: 4 - 30/07/2017 20:56:04 2026199 Link 0 |
Tyrone has beaten nothing as good as Armagh in Ulster this year. I hope we win, but it'll be one helluva battle. 2 Ulster teams - it'll be nearly as good as playing in Clones! essmac (Tyrone) - Posts: 1141 - 30/07/2017 21:44:25 2026242 Link 0 |
wouldn't want to be betting on this one, though most people had it predicted as the pairing after mass last night in the bar. certainly makes for an interesting game with tactics and physcology to the fore. Oh the craic has started already with the brother inlaw he predicting Armagh to teach tyrone a lesson he says they have been waiting for this since 03 bulmccabe (Tyrone) - Posts: 361 - 30/07/2017 21:47:51 2026245 Link 0 |

Well if you're not afraid of Dublin ye should be, with Monaghans record in the All Ireland series and the undoubted class and power of this Dublin side there is no doubt in my mind that this will just be a run out for the Dubs before they meet Tyrone or Armagh, I think Armagh have a great chance against Tyrone if they play their best football, local derby,no love lost, going to be a cracker, another replay on the cards?? I'm looking forward to this game, this will take me back to the mid naughties. KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 30/07/2017 22:34:03 2026275 Link 0 |
Looking forward to this immensely. Armagh have nothing to lose, most people are expecting them to be beat out the door but they are a team gaining confidence by the week and are a wee bit battle hardened now; they will also match Tyrone physically and won't lose any ground there. It could maybe come down to Tyrone's bench, sheer mental strength and ability to close out their opponents best players. However it will once again be the Ulster rivalry that will save interest in the Championship and keep it alive. The rest of you don't really deserve us......Antrim apart of course!
