If I'm a Clare supporter I'm beyond gutted what an opportunity , Tipp can not win Liam on that performance, big questions do they have the ability to put in a 70. Min performance not from what we've seen so far. Damothedub (Dublin) - Posts: 5193 - 22/07/2017 16:32:42 2020975 Link 0 |
I think Galway will run up a score on that tipp defence. Tipperary very poor at the back. Win could come at a cost take Callanan out of that team and they won't win semi let alone get near the All-Ireland. jacktheDub (Dublin) - Posts: 944 - 22/07/2017 16:37:21 2020978 Link 0 |
That was one of the most frustrating games I have ever watched. For the first 50 minutes, Clare gave an exhibition of wastefulness and dreadful decision making and yet they still could have won it. Gaillimh_Abu (Galway) - Posts: 1034 - 22/07/2017 16:38:32 2020979 Link 1 |
Tony Kelly taken off with 5 minutes to go with the game in the balance and you need all your class players and match winners on the pitch. Tipp pulled away after he went off as it happened. ballydalane (Kilkenny) - Posts: 1256 - 22/07/2017 16:42:39 2020984 Link 0 |
If Waterford win tomo, I thought the semi draw was Tipp v Cork n Gal v Deice? See Loughnane saying it prob Gal v Tipp semi?? batman (None) - Posts: 177 - 22/07/2017 17:02:53 2020990 Link 0 |
There's a lot of talent in Clare but they need to be coached.Made many of the same mistakes they made in the Munster Final.Shocking shooting at this level. endgame (Roscommon) - Posts: 2423 - 22/07/2017 17:09:06 2020991 Link 0 |
As far as I know, the only restriction is that there cannot be a repeat of a provincial final - so if Wexford win tomorrow, they would have to play Cork next and Tipp would play Galway. Waterford and Tipp have both played Cork already but not in a provincial final, so a Waterford win should result in a draw for the semis - can anyone confirm this? I can't see any reason why it should automatically be Tipp v Galway and Waterford v Cork.

Looking at today's game,it's galway to lose ,would blow any of the remaining teams away imo.see the rebelettes are getting ahead of themselves over on. Proc.,gas men in fairness, think they are in the final already,if they win the all Ireland with that tipp tappy stuff, hurling as a physical game is finished, that said I truly believe the rebelettes have not seen the intensity of a all Ireland semi, totally different to the freedom allowed in the Munster championship..interesting few weeks ahead, Tipptipp (Tipperary) - Posts: 62 - 22/07/2017 18:13:57 2021011 Link 0 |
Am I right in saying that at some time in the past if a side had already played two teams the one you played first would be the one you would play in this situation. That would mean a Cork v Tipp semi final and of course Galway and Waterford on the other side. But of course Wexford and Waterford have to play yet.

How are you calling rebelettes? There is nobody in Cork getting carried away. I think that is Tipperary's problem and a major reason ye cannot do back to back All-Ireland's The_Bull (Cork) - Posts: 248 - 22/07/2017 23:41:23 2021341 Link 2 |
Gaillimh Abu is correct if deise win today there is a draw tomoro morning but if Wexford win no draw required the semi final pairings would be cork v Wexford galway v tipp

Clare shot themselves in both feet! At least they tried to, with their standard of shooting they would probably have missed. Condorman (Dublin) - Posts: 983 - 23/07/2017 11:05:13 2021547 Link 0 |
Tipp nowhere near last year standards but still Scored 28 points and are back in a semi final. Great place to be with work to do, have a feeling things are starting to build nicely for Tipp, Donagh Maher was outstanding at corner back get Barry back into fullback where he belongs and Joe O Dywer, Micky Cahill or even maybe Barrett into the other corner and we will be ok. therealtmo (Tipperary) - Posts: 1292 - 23/07/2017 12:11:00 2021610 Link 0 |
Tipp in the ideal position - an unconvincing performance yesterday with a poor 10 mins late in the game and so have rom and some time to improve for the semi! After a poor enough start to championship for them, they are now a dangerous animal. carlowman (Carlow) - Posts: 1877 - 23/07/2017 13:14:14 2021663 Link 0 |
Tipp haven't half hurled this year and now in the last 4. Should have plenty of energy to see out two games.need to tighten up at the back and we need our strongest 15. WildPundit (Tipperary) - Posts: 1709 - 23/07/2017 17:46:03 2021883 Link 0 |
Barrett hurled very well for his club today do you see him back in the set up Soon ? therealtmo (Tipperary) - Posts: 1292 - 23/07/2017 19:50:02 2021984 Link 1 |
Not as this late stage his off the panel permanently I hear. Lad from my own club Sean o Brien came in corner back yesterday I reckon Ryan will work with what he has now. Every high ball causes consternation we need to sort that out. WildPundit (Tipperary) - Posts: 1709 - 23/07/2017 20:57:26 2022040 Link 0 |
Have not seen much of Sean O Brien to be honest. Is he up to the required level ? Mick Ryan seem to have great praise for him after game.
