Will Gleeson start on Saturday?

My personal view Gleeson should not be on the panel but his the best keeper in county at present and once he goes we have a void I think we were lucky after Cummins left Gleeson slotted in seamlessly. His puck outs are probably what's keeping him in goal. On the parking I see qpark are doing a 5 Euro day rate but you need to book in advance. I could get used to Ryan's ruthlessness when picking starting 15s. Killarney.87 (Tipperary) - Posts: 2513 - 21/07/2017 00:51:00 2020347 Link 0 |
Yeah its mad Jason Forde has done more in 1 game what Noel McGrath failed do to in 3. I thought Cahill would be back in the team as we need our strongest defenders and I think someone like Barrett will be sorely missed on Saturday. He would be the right man to mark Shane O'Donnell IMO. Looks fairly even enough with McInerney supposedly not starting he will be a big loss for Clare. He seems to have done it well so far anyway. Not convinced the make up of the full back line is the right one though. James Barry has been head and shoulders above every other full back the last three years but has been off the pace this year. I don't think he's suited to corner back though and I definitely don't think hamill is suited to full back

Yeah 1 - 4 could concern me a lot but 5 - 15 was good enough to win an all-Ireland. O'Donnell will look to run Barry ragged. Hamill should get by on Cunningham and I like Maher but he is picking up McGrath who in my mind is the real danger man for Clare. O'Dwyer is probably unlucky to lose out and I'd rather if he was played at corner back instead of wing back. It's typical, Stapleton and O'Brien retire. Cahill's form evades him and Barrett gets dropped. If we only had one of the four of them at full tilt we would be in much better shape in how we line out and our overall prospects. Welcome to the forum Daithi. Awful shame you have to share the same forum with that crowd. Anything to say about the match?

Absolutely atrocious shooting by Clare so far. They are throwing the game away. Gaillimh_Abu (Galway) - Posts: 1034 - 22/07/2017 15:28:34 2020932 Link 0 |
Goalkeepers radar badly off also! Ban (Westmeath) - Posts: 1468 - 22/07/2017 15:41:29 2020940 Link 0 |
You would think that Clare are trying to lose this game. After dragging themselves back to within a point, they then go and give away 3 points as a direct result of bad puck-outs just before half-time. Unbelievable. Gaillimh_Abu (Galway) - Posts: 1034 - 22/07/2017 15:41:36 2020941 Link 0 |
Clare's puck-outs are quite frankly appalling. Tipp have scored about 5 or 6 points from turning over short Clare puck-outs. And their point shooting hasn't improved since the Munster final, they've hit about 9 or 10 wides in the first half alone. Their only hope is that the Tipp full back line look like conceding goals every time the ball goes in there, but it won't make a difference because between short puck-outs and silly long range shooting, the ball won't go in there enough. ballydalane (Kilkenny) - Posts: 1256 - 22/07/2017 15:44:03 2020943 Link 0 |
No team can exlect to win with wides like that. Its another horror show and Tipperary are there for the taking bloodyban (Limerick) - Posts: 1710 - 22/07/2017 15:44:13 2020945 Link 0 |
Tipp's full back line has been atrocious. They should do whatever it takes to get Cathal Barrett back even at this stage of the year. Mick Cahill should be in there too if he's anywhere near fit SaffronDon (Antrim) - Posts: 2572 - 22/07/2017 15:46:05 2020947 Link 0 |

Clare killing themselves , Tipp doing just enough but very poor decision making , puck outs murdering Clare's chances Damothedub (Dublin) - Posts: 5193 - 22/07/2017 16:13:08 2020958 Link 0 |
