Replying To blackspot91:  "To be fair I thought most pundits gave us fair praise after kilkenny and a lot are tipping us against Cork regardless of any stipulations or conditions.

Also, I say bring on the bandwagon, the more the merrier. Not a negative thing. Sport is entertainment and when a team are entertaining they'll attract more punters. That's sport! Youd hardly expect 35,000 for first round of league?

If its dry, great, but I dont think saying rain suits us is an insult as the more skillful team is generally at an advantage during rainy conditions."
What are you on about westfester? it was obvious what i said so why ask again? im an honest man and i said it straight...

Imokillyman is a serious poster on here for a long time who contributes good analysis and opinion.
He/she may or may not be from Cork but either way is not a Johnny come lately bandwagonner who is suddenly a fanatical supporter when a team gets to Croke Park.
I think I will sign off here until after the game because there are only so many pre-match motivational speeches I can take."
il meet u half way westfester , il meet u in bruree and we can talk about newtiown shandrum winning club all irelands and my role in it ...

Replying To hamstring:  "So with Downes and Condon coming into the matchday 26 what 2 lose out.??"
David Dempsey & Paddy O Loughlin ...Dog eat dog. Must be some intensity at training for Downes to leap frog Dempsey. It's what we always needed. Players know that one bad game and there's a pack of wolves there waiting to take the jersey.

In fairness to JK he's not bowing to pressure from bigger clubs!!

Delighted for Downes. He must have worked his socks off. It's a good lesson for all hurlers to keep working. Wish him and all involved the v best of luck tomorrow. Line for line we are better than Cork not let's go out and prove it.

Its alright West I didnt think a simple opinion like that would rile anyone. Dont doubt this Limericks teams skill level for a minute - what they also have is a bigger physical presence which will help bigtime if the day is wet - hence advantage Limerick. Thats all. Anyway enjoy the day all and heres hoping for another day out on the 19th. And Im a born Limerick man and will always support them first, even if I am living away!!

Delighted to see both Downes and Condon in the frame for Sunday.. Downes for his explosive threat and Condon for his steely grit.. a powerful attribute for a hurler. While I don' t recommend it tomorrow, any human being and especially a hurler is subject to outburst of emotion in the heat of battle which is often the result of the sustained provocation.

Best of Luck to panel and management!

Replying To brud:  "Galway will see off clare with ease. Clare will struggle at 3 and 6 against galway. Canning and Glynn will show up clare's weaknesses. Also galway will press right up on there puckouts which both Wexford and Limerick didn't do.

I'm entitled to my opinion. I would have started hickey to man mark either Reid or hogan. Hogan scored 1-3 from play which shows he wasn't closed tightly enough. Yes Dan Morrissey had a stormer and probably up for MOTM along with his brother and Eoin Murphy tonight."
So did Galway over analyze things today? Just like limerick and Wexford seemed to do. Come on Brud, give me your professional opinion.

What a game in Croke Park today. And what a result for the winners of tomorrow's game after the lads today knocked chunks out of each other. Hopefully another classic tomorrow with the green & white victorius

And that Dec is why it's hard for other counties to support Clare. You couldn't enjoy a fantastic game and result for your team without coming on here literally within an hour or so to put the boot in. A little magnanimity wouldn't go astray perhaps.

I have no interest in other counties supporting Clare. I am enjoying it, sitting in the back of a car on the way home, buzzing. Your right tho, it probably was a bit soon but Brud deserved it. His comments are absolute nonsense.

Today's match proved to me that this all Ireland is wide open. It's anyone's very much akin to 2013. Although the match today was incredibly exciting and had me at the edge of my seat for most of it i felt the standard was poor at times. A lot of bad wides and misplaced balls aligned with an unusual amount of poor first touches on both sides. This of course can be explained by the enormity of what's at stake and tomorrow could follow a similar line. Galway may not be as wasteful next Sunday but they could also be without their centre back and centre forward. It's intriguing. Anyway can't wait for tomorrow and another mighty match in store. Why are you on the Limerick forum if you have no interest on what other counties say? Stick to your own county forum. I'm not on other county forums posting I keep instead my opinion on my own county forum.

Did clare win today or am I missing something?? They blew there chance in extra time big time. Playing a Galway team in extra time without there no.11 and no.6 and couldn't finish them off.

Clare panel also got shown up. Bringing back on players that were taken off. John kiely would never do that as he has so much strength on the bench in Dowling, Downes, Casey, Hickey, O' Donoghue, Ryan, Nash etc.

Dec will you let it go. No need coming over here when Limerick have nothing to do with yesterday's match. You are also on the Galway page having a go. Move on.

Brud is entitled to his opinion even if it is blinded slightly by an underlying dislike for Clare.

What a year ,great game again ,backs to the wall stuff.
Thurles next week , slightly narrower pitch will suit Galway but if Canning and McInerney are out it suits Clare so even Stevens again ,tickets will be like gold dust.
Almost 5 am wide awake like a kid on Christmas morning , will have the breakfast soon and hit the road for Croker expecting another close one today will be electric there huge crowd huge occasion.
There's no doubt the big winner this year is hurling the best game in the world.
Safe travels all.

Well if he's on the bench, he will definetly play some part.
