Replying To brud:  "Dowling is strong in the air. The Waterford fullback line isn't the strongest under a high ball. Perhaps kiely is targeting this and might go a bit more direct tomorrow. The Waterford halfback line is strong so perhaps we will try bypass that line more often tomorrow with more aerial ball going in to our full forward line."
Playing in high ball against the Waterford system is a suicidal tactic. I think JK has more sense than that. If Limerick dobgobwithvyhst tactic then put your money on the Waterford sweeper being Man of the match.

What size of crowd is expected tomorrow? My thinking is that Waterford won't travel in numbers?

Tool played direct ball against Waterford Munster final in 2016 and beat them by a cricket score. Waterford will not allow limerick play the channels into mil and Flanagan. To beat Waterford you need to think out side the box. We will not be allowed to play the way we've played against tool and cork. The game tomorrow will not be as aesthetic as cork last Saturday you can be sure of

You obviously didn't watch the tipp/Waterford game last week. If you did you would have seen that Waterford aren't playing as deep as previous seasons and coming out attacking more this year.

Great point. That's why Dowling is starting tomorrow. It will be a lot more direct tomorrow from Limerick straight in to Dowling at edge of square with mul/Flanagan lively to any breaking ball. We could see a lot of goals tomorrow. Its the best way to attack Waterford as you mentioned about the 2016 Munster final.

Brud Waterford were forced into playing that way against tipp because of their spate of injuries in particular to De burca and the need to bring in young lads who didn't really play that system at senior level. I don't see Waterford going 15 on 15 against limerick especially after what mul and Flanagan did to the cork full back line on their own. McGrath will revert to type imo against limerick. That's why I made the point. If he doesn't and shapes up like last week I'll be a happy man.

Clare winning not ideal for us. Cork will beat Wd and go to 6. So it comes down to Ennis to see who plays in the Munster final against them.

Tickets still available on Tickets.ie for Match in Ennis but awfully slow( ie down to last few), any chance it will be switched to gaelic grounds??
Ennis can take 17K, there would be minimum 30K at it if moved to limerick, be like 1996 all over again!

Well that was impressive!

This team just continues to pass every kind of test laid in front of them with flying colours.

Best thing they can do now is not to get sucked into the carnival that'll be drummed up around next weekend, just keep doing what they're doing, treat it as just the next game and they'll be fine.

Luumneach abú!!

Tickets very slow on the internet but I got a few for my parents in the east terrace which is behind the goals. It's going to be a great occasion. Clare were atrocious for long periods of today. Tipperarys luck ran out at last , the one day they actually hurled well for long periods. They don't have the athleticism for today's hurling and they were out on their feet at the end.
For Clare Kelly must have a serious look at his striking because his wides were shocking . But Clare will be better the next day and they 'll be very hard to beat. It 'll be some atmosphere in Ennis

Blown away , not just by the win or the scoreline but by the sheer work rate and determination to Harry and win back lost ball , they were like lions. Cian Lynch was outstanding for me today.
Hard luck on the minors but they will bounce back in Ennis next week let's make it a double Limerick representation in the Munster final.
Who will start next week ? Gillane , Dowling , Mulcahy , Nash , Murphy ??
What a great headache to have for Kiely ?

You can be sure Dowling will start, after scoring 15pts. today.

I have tried Supervalue and the net and no hope of tickets. Surely this game should be changed to Thurles. The whole of Ennis having the capacity to accommodate all those who want to see this game was ludicrous. Congratulations to Limerick on a fine display today. Just keep the hype and heads down.

Congratulations to Limerick on a fine display today and likewise to our friends from Clare. From a Limerick point of view just keep the hype and heads down.

Mighty team performance today from Limerick lead by Cian Lynch. He was our man of the match for me. He set the tempo from the start with our 1st score and won the crucial battle in the middle with Jamie Barron. Plenty of supporters will point towards Dowling but for me this was Lynch's best performance in a green jersey.

Get them from your club. Every club gets allocated tickets if you have your membership paid.

Yes I have my membership paid, and I have already approached my club, but I have no doubt demand will be greater than supply.

Great win today and delighted with the crowd that was there to see it. Lynch was MOTM, a real leader in this team. I thought we were very good but still have room to improve which is encouraging. Puck outs were great and the running from our half forwards was brilliant. O'Donovan and Mike Casey were both very good also. The work rate and intensity is incredible and makes the difference.

Can't wait for next Sunday. It'll be very close but I don't see Limerick being beaten!
