Is it just the one match Gillane will miss higgins (Limerick) - Posts: 256 - 06/06/2018 08:56:40 2107946 Link 0 |
Agreed. Only likely change is Barry Murphy in for Aaron Gillane.

I'd safely say it will be the first time I will be hoping Tipp will win on Sunday as well as ourselves of course. If these 2 results happen we will be in the Munster final. skule111 (Limerick) - Posts: 119 - 06/06/2018 14:20:41 2108076 Link 0 |
if Barry murphy comes in for Gillane does that mean Tom Morissey will remain on freetaking duty ? he done well last sat night on the frees and had a great game overall but he dosent fill me with confidence when taking a free . i wouldnt be surprised to see Dowling start for this reason alone . Pat Ryan is well able to take a free or two aswell if i remember but i have every confidence in john kiely and co decision who to pick as they havent left us " Hurlers on the Ditch " down yet. I would also like to congratulate cork on a great venue and its nice to see where our taxpayers money is being spent but couldnt they have taken the stadium out of the Hole that its in , a complete nightmare to get out of the city afterwards . Tom Morrissey has 100% record on free taking duties from Tipp match in Thurles in League q f and Cork last Saturday. Seeing the way this management operate, I think it's unlikely that they will change an excellently-working formation just to facilitate another free taker.

I'd be happy and confident with Byrnes on them from 65s and back and Tom close in. He is pretty accurate from close in as shown against Clare, especially under the pressure of the 65s competition. interestingly I noticed Gillane had changed hes free taking style, standing over the ball instead of behind it. pity he got sent of and didnt see how effective the new style was. blackspot91 (Limerick) - Posts: 1055 - 06/06/2018 18:23:08 2108152 Link 0 |
Exactly. Tom Morrissey hasn't missed one. He is really impressing me. I honestly didn't think he had what it takes. He played a senior game in Ennis a few years ago and i through it was curtains for him. So fair play to him. Not only getting up to standard but excelling. Keep it up Tom

The two Morrisseys have been a relevation and keep on improving. Tom Morrissey thrived when the extra responsibility of frees was thrust upon him. That's a great sign because I thought his lack of blinding speed would come against him. The whole forward unit as a whole are playing and passing for the teams betterment rather than looking to get points beside their names. It's great. i havnt been able to comment for a few weeks due to internet problems.i ve been hugely impressed by limerick so far, huge hunger and workrate and definitely skills have been upped.i think murphy will get the nod unless kiely springs somone from outside the 26,the likes of barry nash, downes or colin ryan.there is something really different about this bunch, kiely and the rest of the management deserve huge credit.we as supporters appreciate this, the longer limerick stay in the championship the bigger the following is going to get.purchased tickets this morning for next 2 matches, but feel slightly ripped off with being charged an extra 5er for a ticket in ennis to stand on a terrace.can somone explain to me why the difference in price?surely if anything with less seating prices should have been reduced.is this a munster council decision?also my tickets are for the west terrace, thought it was complete open plan once a person was on the terrace.looking forward to 2 more thrilling weekends following this team. as far as i know west and east terrace are at the bk of the goals northern terrace is across from the main stand....im told they will be closing off both ends so you'll be stuck behind the goals

You're forgetting Peter Casey. Kiely did say last week that he needs 2 weeks training to be back fully. that'll have past by the Waterford game. If hes hurling in training like we know he can, I reckon hell get the nod. only thing is, will they be against having 2 diminutive corner forwards.

They are expecting a sellout,so have separate tickets, can't have everyone going to Same side, that's reason as well why Ennis is the only place with no reduction cause of size

depends on sundays results....if we both win it makes it a munster semi final on sun week with us on 5 and clare on 4 ...if we win and clare loose clare are gone so takes the bite out of it....all depends on sundays games . munsterchamps (Limerick) - Posts: 1143 - 07/06/2018 16:03:25 2108427 Link 0 |
i bought tickets for cusack park even before we played tipp as i knew the capacity of the ennis ground was small and i was afraid that if it came down to the last game it would be sold out so i got tickets for every match over the course of a few days . Even then all i could get were tickets for the Northern stand , which i found strange that the Main stand tickets were already sold out , so i dont know if they kept the Main Stand tickets for clare supporters and or for the people normally in corporate boxes who woudnt know a hurley from a pickaxe if it hit them on their wigs , and then sold the other three stands to the public and you may call them stands because thats what we will be doing i.e standing . 15 Euro would have been enough for these tickets as we will be standing ( unless you can squeez your A*** on to a bit of concrete for a while and sit on the ground ) and if you take in the Minor Match aswell which i normally do then we will be fairly fed up of standing but hopefully by 4 o clock we might be in two Munster Finals so that should ease the pain and put us in the mood for porter but first things first lets concentrate on waterford whose tails are up after last weekend..... luimneach abu all the way WhipOnTheBall (Limerick) - Posts: 138 - 07/06/2018 16:25:11 2108436 Link 0 |
Amazed that munster council would hold a munster senior championship game in Ennis. Definitely not fit for purpose. I'm surprised health and safety are not all over this. Hopefully no one will get hurt. welpastit (Limerick) - Posts: 740 - 07/06/2018 17:01:34 2108445 Link 0 |
It's not fit for purpose and the 2 million they spent doing it up must have been in rupees or Venezuelan currency because the stand is still tiny and rubbish. If your over 4 ft forget about being comfortable in the stand. It's shocking. It is however a superb atmosphere of a ground and The views from the terraces are good. I always stand myself and terraces are on the way back in all sports. Time to get back to the roots of watching sport. PeggyShippen (Limerick) - Posts: 300 - 07/06/2018 19:49:29 2108496 Link 0 |
I would forget about Ennis as we will be in a Munster Final on Sunday evening. skule111 (Limerick) - Posts: 119 - 07/06/2018 20:32:56 2108505 Link 0 |

You are not the only one. Waterford can only improve from last Sunday. This will be one hell of a battle. I hope we just about pull through.

Now that new format Munster Championship has been such a success in terms of numbers/attendances, presume that Cusack Park will be ruled out for next year. Clare supporters also angry about set up (article in Clare Champion on it). Those with season tickets were blocked from trying to access the stand in the Waterford game, it will be the same for Limerick game. Considering, you are openly encouraged to buy juvenile tickets in the season ticket scheme, it is just not good enough. No way that I am bringing a 7 year old onto a packed terrace next day. Won't see a thing, it will packed and yet season ticket holders are automatically charged whether they attend or not. ancientrush (Limerick) - Posts: 24 - 08/06/2018 12:50:22 2108663 Link 0 |
