I heard it said ' the team is horsepoo'. and it was by a non panel member so the 'likes' could just be because of the funny immature language and it's all blown out of proportion and assumptions been made... people 'like' lots of things on social media. no need to read too much into it

I seen the tweet. It was by a Nap player that's not involved with the Limerick set up.Looked like sour grapes if U ask me.Ud hope that the Nap boys involved with Limerick would be a bit more mature and not feed into that kind of stuff.I could not see Dowling supporting it anyway.

No harm whatsoever. Abit of sourness and lemon sucking is the sign of a competitive squad. You don't need guys to be all buddy buddy to make a good cohesive team. I didn't get on with a few guys I was hurling with..it never affected our teamwork. There's a job to be done. What I'd be quick to shut down is fellas being allowed to think they are being treated unfairly. No one under Kiely is treated unfairly in my view

Decent half but Limerick should be ahead. Seamus Hickey's constant fouling and stupid behaviour is costing us dearly time and again. Mulcahy doing major damage and everyone bar Hickey doing well.

Does our fullback know he doesnt have to win every ball 3 frees given for pushing and going out over the mans back silly mistakes costing us again our wides are as bad as ever but saying that theres good play but we need to be sharper to pull this 1 out of the fire

How sweet it is!!

Many great performances ..
Most notably fort me.. Many comments for past week said "Hannon has to make his mark today" .
Hannon Was a rock at center back today. Unintentional borrowing (by me0 of the term " Rock" from Former Cork player.

Another matchup I looked forward to was Hayes and Hegarty on the 2 Mahers. Hayes especially contained Paudie Maher in early stages of game when it counted. Tom Morrissey missed a few but all in all our half forward line great.

Byrnes .. what about those 65s and long range frees?? who asked the question on here last week "what has Byrnes done to deserve a start"?

Mike Casey cool under pressure when he came..."the answer"?

Finally, for anyone watching the replay.. please listen and comment if you think Donal O'Grady has a good good word to say for Limerick over the 76 minutes. Every Limerick score by Limerick was the result of a mistake by Tipp rather than " well done" by Limerick.
Every free awarded to Limerick was "questionable call by the referree" according to Donal.
Granted ,he did say we played well and had a plan after the game was over, only when he had no choice.
I was actually one of those sorry for his second departure but wonder if there is lingering animosity.

However, onward and upward.
Looking for ward to trip to Cork... we will be happy with any and all train schedules .

Come On Ye boys In Green!

You are absolutely correct in regard to Donal O'Grady- PatOLogical. Very encouraging
from a Limerick perspective. Limerick won the aerial battle but they will need to improve
in their shooting, many players contributed to the scoring. Mick Casey steadied the Limerick
defense. The future is bright with this young team. It is very encouraging that there are many
tall strong players in the team. The All-Ireland U21 wins is the catalyist for this success.

Excellent win and I must congratulate
Graeme Mulcahy on a terrific performance.
It was a great performance all around
and I would give man of the match to Mulcahy or Hannon.
A couple of things I would say is I would replace Hickey and we have a few option's also Kyle Hayes is not a forward
and though he tried really hard he just doesn't look comfortable their.

Well done Limerick good win, far from a classic game but a win is a win and to beat Tipperary without being at our best is encouraging in itself.

First I'm going to praise Greame Mulcahy who has struggled the last few seasons but put in a very good performance today and look dangerous with the ball in hand and pick off some good points. Gearoid Hegarthy hadnt his best game but can he catch a ball or take a point when its badly needed. Declan Hannon made a few mistakes but he is starting to show signs of developing into a good centre back, he caught a few balls ,mopped up well and cut out a few passes from Tipperary. Diarmuid Byrnes stood up well in the last quarter and showed great leadership with his frees to help us over the line .Subs did well too especially Barry Murphy who took his goal well. For the most part though each player came in and went out of the game in stages and we will have to improve as the championship goes on.

Good win but I think Hickey was hung out to dry. Never was a Full Back so why play him there.

Agreed re Mulcahy. I was a little surprised at his inclusion, but obviously Kiely has found a way to work him into a system allowing him to flourish. He got some inspirational scores today at key moments. Used to feel sorry for him and Seanie Tobin get high ball rained down on them only to get devoured by big backs or smothered by 3,4 and 5 backs.

Speaking Seanie Tobin?? ...

Yeah that was a good work-man-like performance. That Tipperary were atrocious and lead by a point at half time is a concern but Limerick won well in the end even though they managed to give up a few goal chances when 5 up.
Mulcahy was excellent and I give him many kudos. Hegarty is a phenomenal prospect. Wait until his confidence improves. He 'll shoot more. He's actually very accurate. The lay offs, the goal attempt was all good. He made a few mistakes aswell. Gillane is top quality and the mid field were great.
Hickey is not and never will be a fullback. I won't go to town on the criticism but the guy lunges in like a green-horn. Mike Casey has a better temperament. Hickey is a good sub to have.
Morrisseys were both good and I think stick with them at least for 40 to 45 mins. Limericks squad is going to help them big-time. Lots of room for improvement. I don't like Gillanes free taking style and some of the forwards wides were very sad.

It's a beautiful day. To beat Tipp is a wonderful result and congratulations to everyone involved in an amazing result. I have to say that Tipp were very poor. Scoring 5 points from play is not the Tipp that I'm used to watching but nor am I complaining. There is still scope for improvement as we still shot too many wides but I love the power and work rate in this side. It must be a nightmare to play against Limerick.

Well done to you on your analysis of the game today and I'm sue all the limerick players are appreciate of these. Maybe Graeme , Declan and Gearoid will give you a ring in the coming week to see how they can improve in your eyes. I am sure that what ever club that your are with that with your wisdom that they are winning all I reland titles..................

What a win today. Certainly wasn't pretty at times but any day you do a minor & senior double over Tipp is a great day. ATipp were deffinately out of sorts today, no thanks to Limerick's work-rate and ferocious tackling. We were tougher, smarter and hungrier. Well done to Graham Mulcahy had a stormer all round. Seamie Hickey had a much better second half and wouldn't surprise me if he starts full back again against Cork?
Management did excellent again. Made changes early bringing in fresh legs. Thought David Dempsy looked dangerous but needs more match time.

Hegarty worked like a Trojan but needs to be a bit smarter with distribution when he goes on his electric runs. Kyle Hayse did excellent. P Maher didn't get a look in which is some achievement for a 20 yr old. Aron Gillane was immense today and caused havoc every time ball went into full forwards. Half back line was rock solid. Some slight mistakes but my man of the match was Hannon.
Mid field were quite enough till half time. Lynch had a great 2nd half tho. D.O.D was average but again he needs match practice. We need to settle a bit more with Lynch's partner.
Very well done Lads!!! Looking forward to trip to Cork already.

Delighted for Graeme Mulcahy, terrific servant to Limerick hurling. I thought he shouldnt have been starting but credit to management he was excellent. Despite being caught ball watching for the first goal I thought Dan Morrissey was very good as well - mopped up a load of ball. I was one of many who questioned why he's even on the panel.

Our half back line and half forward line were dominant and in Gillane and Flanagan we have 2 serious ball winners in the full forward line which is very encouraging. Mike Casey has to be given the full back jersey going forward - out in front for every ball and steadied the ship excellently. Credit to management for making changes when they saw players flagging, subs all did well when they came on. Finally, its great from a Limerick perspective that we won comfortably but still have loads of room for improvement.

Great to win but every payer/ manager interviewed yesterday spoke about the next game. Tipp were so poor we learned v little except that we need a new full back and that will strengthen us no end. Corks main men are Ellis and Coleman in half back line , Fitzgibbon at midfield and Lehane Harnedy and Horgan up front. Hegarty Hayes or Morrissey should give Ellis and Coleman enough to think about. Horgan will be marked by one of the top corner backs in the game and we can be reasonably optimistic that Hannon will at least break even on Lehane. That leaves Harbedy and Fitzgibbon. I'd expect Harnedy to start on Morrissey and I think we will struggle here. Harnedy is good in the air he is strong running through and can take and create scores. We need a plan B for him if he does start on Morrissey. As for Fitzgibbon O Donovan may be able for him but I suspect he could be too fast for Darragh. After that Browne or O Donoghue would have no chance of holding him. Think we need Colin Ryan in reserve or maybe even Hickey if his legs are up to it. Both are good man markers. I have us well ahead of Cork right now but I think we need to get our match ups right and I think we need a plan B if Cork get a run on is in certain positions. Well done to all involved yesterday now lets dethrone the rebels.

Totally different game against Cork. I think it will be much more free scoring and open. It's a great chance though to test the mettle of this Limerick team even more.
Mike Casey has to start now. It's a no brainer. I do understand why they have persevered with Hickey. It's to do with on field leadership. But first things first and he can't play Full back. I was disappointed he lasted until half time. Management got an 'out' with his injury. Very positive overall though.

Well done Limerick. Great result. The best thing about the result and after reading a lot of the posts is we played well but we can and will need to improve. Thought English, Hannon, Byrnes, Gillane and Mulcahy played very well. More played well in patches but that's OK, something to work on. Tipperary were disappointing, starting lineup surprising. Is there trouble in the Tipp camp, no media interviews until after the round robin is finished? Cork next, we will have a better idea where they are after next weeks game v Tipp. What ever happens its been a great start, roll on June 2nd.
