I heard it said ' the team is horsepoo'. and it was by a non panel member so the 'likes' could just be because of the funny immature language and it's all blown out of proportion and assumptions been made... people 'like' lots of things on social media. no need to read too much into it

I seen the tweet. It was by a Nap player that's not involved with the Limerick set up.Looked like sour grapes if U ask me.Ud hope that the Nap boys involved with Limerick would be a bit more mature and not feed into that kind of stuff.I could not see Dowling supporting it anyway. No harm whatsoever. Abit of sourness and lemon sucking is the sign of a competitive squad. You don't need guys to be all buddy buddy to make a good cohesive team. I didn't get on with a few guys I was hurling with..it never affected our teamwork. There's a job to be done. What I'd be quick to shut down is fellas being allowed to think they are being treated unfairly. No one under Kiely is treated unfairly in my view PeggyShippen (Limerick) - Posts: 300 - 20/05/2018 11:48:38 2102257 Link 0 |
Decent half but Limerick should be ahead. Seamus Hickey's constant fouling and stupid behaviour is costing us dearly time and again. Mulcahy doing major damage and everyone bar Hickey doing well. limerick_lass (Limerick) - Posts: 39 - 20/05/2018 14:39:10 2102289 Link 0 |
Does our fullback know he doesnt have to win every ball 3 frees given for pushing and going out over the mans back silly mistakes costing us again our wides are as bad as ever but saying that theres good play but we need to be sharper to pull this 1 out of the fire limerickany1 (Limerick) - Posts: 52 - 20/05/2018 14:41:42 2102292 Link 0 |

Well done Limerick good win, far from a classic game but a win is a win and to beat Tipperary without being at our best is encouraging in itself. DUALSUPPORT (Limerick) - Posts: 1038 - 20/05/2018 18:42:00 2102342 Link 0 |
Good win but I think Hickey was hung out to dry. Never was a Full Back so why play him there. hailorshine (Limerick) - Posts: 70 - 20/05/2018 19:00:05 2102352 Link 0 |
Agreed re Mulcahy. I was a little surprised at his inclusion, but obviously Kiely has found a way to work him into a system allowing him to flourish. He got some inspirational scores today at key moments. Used to feel sorry for him and Seanie Tobin get high ball rained down on them only to get devoured by big backs or smothered by 3,4 and 5 backs. Speaking Seanie Tobin?? ... PatOLogical (Limerick) - Posts: 1377 - 20/05/2018 19:25:39 2102363 Link 0 |
Yeah that was a good work-man-like performance. That Tipperary were atrocious and lead by a point at half time is a concern but Limerick won well in the end even though they managed to give up a few goal chances when 5 up. PeggyShippen (Limerick) - Posts: 300 - 20/05/2018 19:53:35 2102376 Link 0 |
It's a beautiful day. To beat Tipp is a wonderful result and congratulations to everyone involved in an amazing result. I have to say that Tipp were very poor. Scoring 5 points from play is not the Tipp that I'm used to watching but nor am I complaining. There is still scope for improvement as we still shot too many wides but I love the power and work rate in this side. It must be a nightmare to play against Limerick. What a win today. Certainly wasn't pretty at times but any day you do a minor & senior double over Tipp is a great day. ATipp were deffinately out of sorts today, no thanks to Limerick's work-rate and ferocious tackling. We were tougher, smarter and hungrier. Well done to Graham Mulcahy had a stormer all round. Seamie Hickey had a much better second half and wouldn't surprise me if he starts full back again against Cork? Seeking_silver (Limerick) - Posts: 411 - 20/05/2018 23:48:44 2102480 Link 1 |
Delighted for Graeme Mulcahy, terrific servant to Limerick hurling. I thought he shouldnt have been starting but credit to management he was excellent. Despite being caught ball watching for the first goal I thought Dan Morrissey was very good as well - mopped up a load of ball. I was one of many who questioned why he's even on the panel. Great to win but every payer/ manager interviewed yesterday spoke about the next game. Tipp were so poor we learned v little except that we need a new full back and that will strengthen us no end. Corks main men are Ellis and Coleman in half back line , Fitzgibbon at midfield and Lehane Harnedy and Horgan up front. Hegarty Hayes or Morrissey should give Ellis and Coleman enough to think about. Horgan will be marked by one of the top corner backs in the game and we can be reasonably optimistic that Hannon will at least break even on Lehane. That leaves Harbedy and Fitzgibbon. I'd expect Harnedy to start on Morrissey and I think we will struggle here. Harnedy is good in the air he is strong running through and can take and create scores. We need a plan B for him if he does start on Morrissey. As for Fitzgibbon O Donovan may be able for him but I suspect he could be too fast for Darragh. After that Browne or O Donoghue would have no chance of holding him. Think we need Colin Ryan in reserve or maybe even Hickey if his legs are up to it. Both are good man markers. I have us well ahead of Cork right now but I think we need to get our match ups right and I think we need a plan B if Cork get a run on is in certain positions. Well done to all involved yesterday now lets dethrone the rebels. welpastit (Limerick) - Posts: 740 - 21/05/2018 09:16:07 2102525 Link 0 |
Totally different game against Cork. I think it will be much more free scoring and open. It's a great chance though to test the mettle of this Limerick team even more. PeggyShippen (Limerick) - Posts: 300 - 21/05/2018 10:33:18 2102561 Link 0 |
Well done Limerick. Great result. The best thing about the result and after reading a lot of the posts is we played well but we can and will need to improve. Thought English, Hannon, Byrnes, Gillane and Mulcahy played very well. More played well in patches but that's OK, something to work on. Tipperary were disappointing, starting lineup surprising. Is there trouble in the Tipp camp, no media interviews until after the round robin is finished? Cork next, we will have a better idea where they are after next weeks game v Tipp. What ever happens its been a great start, roll on June 2nd. waitingforliam (Limerick) - Posts: 8 - 21/05/2018 12:27:14 2102621 Link 1 |
