Roe to continue as Laois U21 boss

September 28, 2010

Pat Roe Laois
Pat Roe has been reappointed Laois under 21 football manager for another year.

The former Carlow, Wexford and Offaly was bitterly disappointed to lose out to Justin McNulty for the Laois senior post last month, but in spite of this, has decided to remain with the under 21s for another season. Laois' interest in this year's Leinster U21FC was ended at the semi-final stage by Westmeath after they had beaten Wicklow in the quarter-final.

The former O'Moore County dual star has been overlooked for the Laois senior job on three occasions, losing out to Liam Kearns in 2006, Sean Dempsey in 2008 and former Armagh All-Ireland winning full back McNulty last month.
