Enniskillen Gaels return to Fermanagh football summit after 16 years

Enniskillen Gaels were comfortable winners in the Fermanagh SFC final

Enniskillen cruised to their first Fermanagh senior football championship success since 2006 after brushing aside Erne Gaels at Brewster Park this afternoon.

After last Sunday’s final was postponed due to an unplayable pitch at the Enniskillen venue, the Gaels hit the ground running here as goals from Conor McShea and Conor Love saw the going on to take in a 2-5 to 0-4 lead at the break.

The town side all but wrapped up the win early in the second-half, with Love cutting inside from the right and tucking in a sublime finish for three more points.

The victory marks the Gaels 13th senior championship success while the wait continues for their Belleek counterparts whom haven’t tasted New York Cup glory since 1981.
