Young Ciaran O'Toole in the colours of Craomh Chiarain

A young hurler has vastly-improved reading vision thanks to fund-raising efforts from Dublin GAA clubs.

Ciarán O'Toole, who hurls for the Craomh Chiarain U9s, is the first person in Ireland and one of the first in Europe to own a pair of eSight glasses.

He travelled to Toronto last week with his father, Aidan, and sister, Áine, to try out the glasses, which have improved his vision for reading from 5% to 80%.

Craomh Chiarain GAA club, as well as surrounding clubs St Vincent's and O'Toole's, supported the fund-raising efforts which made Ciarán's dream come true.

Thanks to Ciaran's Dad Aidan for letting us know about this heart warming story and best of luck to all the family.
