Jennifer Dunne flies out to Australia today to embark on a new challenge with the Brisbane Lions, just three days after winning her fourth All-Ireland ladies football medal with Dublin.
Dunne was outstanding at midfield as a new-look Dublin defeated a fancied Kerry side to regain the Brendan Martin Cup at Croke Park. She joins Tipperary’s Orla O’Dwyer at the Lions and becomes one of a 30-strong Irish contingent in the AFLW.
Fellow Dubs Lauren Magee, Sinéad Goldrick and Niamh McEvoy have previously featured in the AFLW.
TweetWith her 4th All Ireland medal safely tucked away in her back pocket & surly a 1st TG4 All Star award on the way we wish Jennifer all the very best as she embarks today on her new adventure with @lionsaflw 🦁
