Former Down forward Mark Poland has taken the reins of Warrenpoint’s senior footballers for the 2023 season.

Beaten by Kilcoo in the Down SFC final (after extra time) just a couple of weeks ago, Warrenpoint saw manager Shane Mulholland recently departing them.

Poland had been part of Mulholland’s backroom this past season and is now set to lead the team next year as they look to go one better in the race for the Frank O’Hare Cup.

Along with the ex-Mourne County attacker, Warrenpoint confirmed yesterday that Gary Boyle, Conor Gilmore, Ryan McAleenan and Daniel Bird will be part of their senior management set-up.
