Dungloe Senior team played a league fixture at home to Gweedore in Rosses park on Friday evening and lost the game on a score-line of Dungloe 0-10 Gweedore 0-12, Trailing at half time by two points on a score line of Dungloe 0-4 Gweedore 0-6, Dungloe started the second half well and led by a point, however our local rivals rallied and finished stronger to win by two points. Best for Dungloe were Mark McPaul, Mathew Smith and Adrian Hanlon.
The club's monthly meeting will be held Monday the 8th of October 2007 in Ionad Teampall chroine at 9pm.
Training continues for all senior and reserves players at 7pm at Dungloe pitch Tuesday and Thursday.
The Dungloe GAA Club and Dungloe Boxing Club development draw date has now been extended until Halloween Bank holiday weekend. Tickets for the draw are currently available at €20, 1st Prize is a lovely 5 door VW Polo which is on view throughout the town.
Sean MacCumhaills Club Notes
County Final
The club would like to thank everyone who helped out in any way at the county final on Sunday. We would also like to congratulate St Eunans and Four Masters on their achievements and commiserate with both Glenswilly and Glenties.
Half time Draw
Winners of the half time draws were Gareth Doherty and Councillor Brogan who won the draws on Sunday.
Club Meeting.
A very important club meeting will be held on the last Monday 29th October for nominations for Trustees for the Club.
1957 Minor Team
A celebration dances to celebrate the 1957 minor team who won the first county title for the newly named Sean MacCumhaills will take place in the clubhouse on Oct 6th at 9.00pm All welcome.
Adult Football
We had mixed fortunes in Donegal Town on Saturday night with the seniors defeated by four points and reserves beating the home side. Training continues for all adult players every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm.
John Dory League
The finals of the John Dory league take place this Sunday 7th October. First game up is the Semi final between Errigal and Sliabh liag at 5.30pm. The B-final takes place at 6.15pm followed by the A-final at 6.45pm.
Ladies Football
Hard luck to our senior ladies who were defeated by Tyrone champions Badoney on a score-line of 3-7 to 2-12 on Saturday last. Well done to PJ and all the panel on a very successful year in what was their first season back in senior ladies football. Having won the championship and reaching the second round of the Ulster championship it is a testament to the hard work and commitment put in by everyone through out the year. No doubt with the same effort we will be able to go a step further next year and bring home an Ulster title.
U16 Hurling
Hard luck to the U16 Hurlers who bowed out of the championship at the weekend.

U10 Football
Gaelic Football training for all 7,8 and 9 year olds will continue throughout the summer on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:15 at MacCumhaill Park. There is a charge of 2 euro each night to buy essential equipment to further enhance each child's enjoyment of the game. Any parent wishing to get involved in the training sessions are more than welcome and just need to contact any member of the coaching team.
Senior Hurling
Training continues every Monday and Wednesday at 7.00pm for all players as our junior's are still competing in the championship
U16 and U14 Ladies
Training times for both U16 and U14 Ladies panels take's place at 6 pm sharp on Mondays. Any queries please contact Joanne Deward 086 1010557.

Naomh Padraig club notes
Lotto:
Numbers drawn were 1, 7, 14 and 19. No jackpot winner. 4 people matched 3 numbers, each winning •25.

County Final
Preperations are almost fininshed for the Junior A championship final. The club urges all supporters of Naomh Padraig to fly the colours of our club where and wherever possible leading up to the big day.
The final is on Sunday 14th October in McCumhaill Park, throw-in at 3 p.m.

Aodh Ruadh club notes
SENIOR FOOTBALL
Aodh Ruadh bought themselves a Division 1A lifeline when they beat Killybegs in a real relegation 'four pointer' in Fintra last Saturday. Ballyshannon held the initiative for much of the match and went in four points up at half time. Killybegs managed to level the match with time nearly up, but Aodh Ruadh battled back and were awarded a 13 metre free which Pauric Buggy coolly converted to make sure of the win on a scoreline of 0-11 to 0-12.
The reserve's fixture against Killybegs was called off.
There will be a senior club meeting on Thursday, 4th October at 8.30pm. With the draw date drawing ever closer a full attendance is essential at this meeting.
The date for the Centre of Excellence draw has been slated for Sunday 28th October. Tickets for the draw, which is to fund the redevelopment of Mundays Field as a top class training facility, are currently on sale. There is an impressive line-up of prizes with something for everyone. Tickets priced ‚E30/£20 each or E50/£35 for two are out now, ask any club member.
HURLING
Aodh Ruadh hosted a very successful under 12 blitz last Sunday. Despite the terrible weather, eight teams took part with 104 youngsters showing off their skills, with no less than 31 players from Aodh Ruadh taking part. Breege Daly Scott presented the Primary League Shield on behalf of the local national schools to Letterkenny Gaels. The runners up in the Shield were a south Donegal team made up of Aodh Ruadh and Four Masters players. The Ulster Council President, Tom Daly, presented the Aodh O Dalaigh shield in memory of his late father, Hugh, to the winning captain from Knocks, County Fermanagh. The runners up were Coolera / Strandhill of county Sligo. Local players Conor Kennedy and Brendan Gillespie received medals for outstanding performances on the day for our two teams. Thanks go to all who helped to make the blitz a great success. This ends a very enjoyable and busy season for the under 10s and 12s. The club thanks the hurlers and their parents for their commitment throughout the year.
LADIES
The under 10 girls host Four Masters in the Park at 11am on Saturday, 6th October. Under 10 training is underway on Tuesdays from 6pm to 7pm in the Park.
The minors had good win in Dunfanaghy when they overcame the challenge of Saint Michaels to progress to the first round proper of the championship where they take on Saint Nauls. That game will be in Father Tierney park this weekend, but the precise date and time have yet to be confirmed. Minor training at 6.30pm on Wednesdays.
BORD NA NOG
There will be a meeting of the Bord na nOg committee on Wednesday, 10th October at 8.30pm. All committee members are asked to attend.
The under 12s had a good win over The Loup of Derry in a challenge match last Saturday. The under 12s will be on their travels this Saturday 6th October when they go to a blitz in Scotstown, County Monaghan in what should be their last competitive action of the year. The tournament starts at 10.00am.  Players are asked to assemble at the park for 7.30am and to bring a packed lunch. The bus leaves the park at 7.45am sharp.
The quarter finals of the Bakery Cup are scheduled for Saturday, 13th October with the semi-finals on Saturday, 20th October and the finals on Sunday, 28th October, coinciding with the Centre of Excellence Draw. As this is the fiftieth anniversary of the Bakery Cup Aodh Ruadh are inviting everyone who played in the competition since 1957 to come along to the fiftieth final on Sunday 28th October at 2pm in Father Tierney Park. We expect to have the first winning captain there to get the ball rolling. Presentations will take place afterwards in Aras Aoidh Ruadh along with the unveiling of a plaque with the winning captains names. The ceremonials will be followed by light refreshments in the Aras. Aodh Ruadh host Naomh Conaill in Father Tierney Park this Sunday, 7th October at 3.00pm. Liam Brown referees. Glenties are in the hunt for a League Title play-off berth and will present stern opposition. Aodh Ruadh will be hoping to build on a good win against Killybegs last Saturday in their bid for Division 1A survival. With much at stake it is important that Ballyshannon supporters get behind their team on Sunday. The senior game is preceded by Aodh Ruadh against Naomh Conaill in a Division 1A Reserve match at 1.30pm.

Gaeil Fhanada club notes
All roads lead to Mac Cumhail Park this Sunday as the senior team contest the Intermediate Championship against Bundoran. Throw in has been confirmed for 4pm. This is the second year in a row that the club have reached the final stages and it is hoped to see as many supporters turn out as possible. Please come along and get behind the boys, and hopefully the cup will be returning to Fanad for the first time on Sunday evening.
The senior and reserve teams both recorded good victories over Buncrana in the League last weekend, leaving them in a comfortable position in the tables. Thanks to all those that supported the night of the races held by the club last weekend. There was no jackpot winner in the lotto this week. EUR100 went to Siobhan Coyle, Ballyhernan and EUR50 to Eoghan Shiels, Fanavolty. Numbers were: 2,4,13,16,20, B15. Next weeks jackpot will be EUR4550 and the draw will take place in Mc Brides Bar. Tickets can be bought from any of the committee members. The September Club 300 draw was held in Fanad Lodge on Sunday night. Winners of EUR500 each were: Din Friel, Rinboy, Seamus Durkan Snr, Milford and Patrick Mc Grenaghan.
Bord na nOg
History is in the making this weekend as the U-14 team join the senior team in contesting a County Championship final. On Saturday in Glenswilly at 12pm they take on Naomh Mhuire in the Div 3 Championship decider. The Gaels will feel confident going into this clash after winning the County League final last Saturday when they defeated Red Hughes in Convoy. It was a closely fought final but Fanad's accuracy in front of goals led them to a comfortable in the end up. They trailed by 5 points at half time, but a 4 goal blitz from Brian(Teddy) Mc Veigh, Brian Mc Bride(2) and Ciaran Carr in the second half seen them run out winners. Well done to the lads on a great second half performance. Best of luck to them as they prepare for the final this weekend. All supportres are asked to come out and support the team as they aim to collect their fourth piece of silverware in the last game of the season.
NA CEALLA BEAGA GAA CLUB NOTES
The club's u-13 team defeated St Nauls in the divisional semi final and now advance to play Kilcar
in the divisional final.
The club's senior team were defeated by Aodh Ruadh in the league on Saturday last in Fintra by one point.
The numbers drawn in this week's galotto were 9,12,17 and 23. Their was no jackpot winner. The 50 euro
consolation prize went to Jerry Lafferty and the 25 euro prize went to Margaret Mc Brearty, Loughead. Next week's seller's are Francie Gallagher's team and seller's for the weekend of the 13th are Christine Cunningham's team.
Their was no winner of this week's bingo jackpot. The consolation prize went to Doris Conwell, Killybegs.
Letterkenny Gaels club notes
There will be a Club Committee meetings this Thursday night 4th October. All club members are asked to attend.
Congratulations to our U12 team who won the Primary Shield at a combined hurling blitz in Ballyshannon last week. Well done to all the players and well done also to the parents who travelled. A special word of thanks to Ballyshannon who looked after everybody so well. A good day had by all.
Our U13 were defeated by Carndonagh in the Northern Final on Saturday last. This was a very exciting match played between to very skilful teams. "Goals win Matches" and as Carn were very sharp in clinching goals they fully deserved victory. Best for Gaels were Patrick Doherty and Ciaran Lynch at the Back. Darren Mangan and Oisín Mc Elhinney were excellent at Midfield. Dan Boyce and Conor Mc Brearty were the pick of the forwards. The Final score was Carn 5-6 Gaels 1-9. We now go forward to play the Southern champions Naomh Bríd in the County semi-final. Training continues for this team on Thursdays at 6pm.
The U15 competition is now scheduled to commence on Saturday the October 6th. The management team will be in touch with the players in the coming days regarding preparation for this competition. Indoor hurling begins this week for all age groups at the Letterkenny Community Centre. The time is 7 to 8 sharp on Thursday evenings. Coaching

Senior team training continues with Winter Circuit Training commences this Thursday 4th October at 9pm in Letterkenny Community Centre for all minor and senior players. The seniors played N. Brid at weekend but failed to overcome a strong running team while the reserves came away with a good victory in the reserve match. There is no games scheduled for this weekend.
The Winning Nos for last weeks lotto were 1,4, 12 and 20. The Lucky Dip Match 3 winner was Caroline Shiels No6 Culbraccan. Next weeks Jackpot
stands at 3500 Euro.

Congratulations to our Senior team and management on bringing home the Dr Maguire Cup after winning the county final on Sunday. A big 'thank you' to all our supporters who turned out in big numbers in Ballybofey to cheer on the lads. A large crowd turned out in the O'Donnell Park's new Stand and later in the clubhouse to welcome home the new County Champions.
Hard luck to our neighbours in Glenswilly. In your short history you have built a fine club and a team to be proud of. Last Sunday was not your day but no doubt your day will come.
Our Senior Reserve team almost made it a double Championship success last Saturday but a draw was the final outcome in Falcarragh. The replay is set for this Sunday in Ballybofey as a curtain raiser to the Intermediate final but this is not yet confirmed - check press for details.
Minor Board news:
Our U13 team was defeated by Cloughaneely in the Divisional Final in Dunfanaghy last Saturday. They will now go on to meet the winners of the Southern section in the County semi-final.
Three U10 teams travelled to Lurgan last Saturday. In total they played 18 matches and won 15 of them. Unfortunately this was not enough to bring home any cups. Well done to Evan McCroary on winning 'Player of the tournament' for Section C.
Our U15 Div 1 side go up against MacCumhaills this Saturday at noon in O'Donnell Park.
Coaching for U10s, U8s and U6s goes ahead this coming Sunday at 11am (weather permitting).

There were no winners for last weeks lotto jackpot. The open draw winners were Ann Hegarty and Paddy McDaid. The draw this Friday night will take place in the Lagoon and coordinators are Kath McSharry and Joe McDaid. The jackpot is now E600.
The club wishes to make a special appeal to club members and parents of the underage to help run our weekly lotto draw.
