Eoghan Ban Gallagher reckons Donegal are as good as anyone outside of Kerry and Dublin.

Many expected the Tir Chonaill men to struggle in the wake of Michael Murphy's retirement, but their Allianz League form would suggest otherwise.

"I think there's nothing between the teams up around the top," he told BBC NI after Jason McGee’s injury-time point salvaged a draw with Galway yesterday.

"Kerry and Dublin are at a level above everyone else and the other seven or eight teams are all fairly close.

"We saw Galway got to an All-Ireland final last year.

"Armagh almost beat them, and we beat Armagh twice last year. Dublin and Kerry are a wee step above, but I think we're right there with the next best."
