Glen centre-back Michael Warnock lined-out in Sunday’s Ulster club SFC quarter-final against Errigal Ciaran despite learning of his grandfather’s passing earlier in the day.
The Derry champions came from behind to record a 3-10 to 1-12 victory over their Tyrone counterparts to progress towards a meeting with Cargin (Antrim) in the last four of the province.
Warnock, who played the full 70 minutes at Celtic Park, told BBC Sport NI afterwards that there was “no decision to be made” with regards to his involvement in the game despite the bereavement in his family.
"I was always going to play, he would have wanted that. Hopefully he is happy with the result. It is tough, I was thinking about him in the warm-up," he said after the game.
