Donegal ladies football star Geraldine McLaughlin was in sensational form in yesterday's county final.

The All-Star nominee notched a remarkable personal haul of 1-16, 1-8 of which came from play, but still ended up on the losing side as Termon were agonisingly beaten 1-23 to 2-18 after extra-time by holders Glenfin in Lifford. Yvonne Bonner and Karen Guthrie scored 1-9 and 0-11, respectively, for the winners.

One of the leading forwards in the game over the last decade, McLaughlin's scoring averages for both club and county have been off the charts this year. Lining out with Donegal in 2021, she averaged 0-11 per match.
