Disappointment for County minors

 

Hard luck to the minor team who suffered a one point defeat to Tyrone at the weekend. This team and management worked towards the championship for 14 months, and their efforts and dedication must be commended. In particular we’d like to acknowledge the efforts of our own Liam Mc Grenaghan who was part of the group this season! Maith thú Liam as do chuid iarrachtaí i rith na bliana!

A big congratulations to Gaels stalwart and current underage coach Shaun Mc Elwaine and his wife Rachel on the birth of baby Thomas last week.

2020 has been a challenging year for us all, but due to the cooperation, diligence and positive efforts of many in our club and community, it was possible for all our teams to safely return to football earlier in the year, albeit for a shorter period then we all would’ve preferred. 

 

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped and contributed to the club in any way during the year, and for the friendships within our club and community which helped us overcome many challenges this past 12 months. Many of our regular ways of generating funds have been curtailed this year, but we really appreciate the support we’ve received throughout the year and we look forward to your continued support in what will be a challenging 2021. 

 

We’re all hopeful that the new year will herald signs of progress, and that a return to football and indeed life without restrictions isn’t too far away. Beidh le feiceáil.

 

We’d like to wish you all a safe and peaceful Christmas, wherever you may be and we hope that 2021 will bring health and happiness to us all.
