Experienced goalkeeper Barry Gillis has been recalled to the Derry squad ahead of Sunday's Ulster SFC quarter-final against Fermanagh.

Gillis opted out earlier in the year due to work commitments, but has answered an SOS from manager John Brennan after Michael Conlon was ruled out through injury. Ballinderry clubman Conlon picked up a knock during a practice match in Swatragh last Sunday.

Gillis will now act as cover for Ballinascreen's Danny Devlin who is set to make his championship debut against the Erne County. Team captain Barry McGoldrick is a big doubt for the Celtic Park tie after suffering a groin problem in the same practice match. Tweet
