The minors defeated The Loup to reach the Championship semi final where they will meet defending champions Dungiven.  The Rossa's were worthy winners finishing the game on a scoreline of Rossa 3-17 The Loup 1-07.  Following the cancellation of one of the quarter final matches, the semi final date and venue has yet to be confirmed.

The U-14s played a challenge match at home against Carrickmore on Sunday 15th August which was a very entertaining game throughout.  The game was a tight contest and although the Rossa's were leading nearing the end of the match, Carrickmore grabbed a goal to give them the edge.  The U-14s were due to play Bellaghy in the league on Tuesday however this has been cancelled due to the U-16 championship on Wednesday night.

Rossa girls do the Double
Derry Junior Camogie Championship Final
Magherafelt 8-7 Limavady 0-1
The Rossa Senior camogs have secured the Derry Junior Championship and League, last won in 2004.  The girls set out at the start of the season determined to succeed and their hard work has paid off.  After their titanic battle with Drum in the semi-final, Magherafelt went into the final on Tuesday night as hot favourites.  The girls did not disappoint, with Sinead McLaughlin and Jenny Lee tormenting the Limavady defence from the start and scoring at will.  Dervla McGuckin and Caoimhe were solid as a rock in the middle of the field and provided a constant supply of good balls for the Magherafelt forwards to convert.  Limavady battled hard but to no avail in this one-sided final as the Rossas continued to dominate all sectors of the pitch.  The squad were delighted with their achievements, with captan Kathy McGuckin accepting both the Championship Cup and the League trophy from the county chairwoman to rousing applause from players and spectators.
Many congratulations to Caoimhe Toner who was awarded Player of the Final.
Many thanks to manager Mark McConnon who took on the role this season and introduced much needed stability and self-belief into this young side.  The girls now progress into the Ulster Junior Championship and take on the Tyrone Intermediate Champions, Doiretreasc, on 18th September.

A number of the Rossa's took to the hills for this year's 3 Peak Sponsored Walk Challenge.  The walk consisted of Slieve Donard, Slemish & Slieve Gallion all on the one day.  It was an entertaining day for all to say the least.  Many thanks to those who participated and to Sean McCollum for organising the event.  Also many thanks to Eamon Lynch for driving the bus!
The MacFlynn suite is available for members of the Club / Parish to book for private parties & events.  It is an ideal venue to celebrate a party etc.  For available dates and to book the MacFlynn suite, contact any Committee member.
