Replying To WanPintWin:  "Well the bookies have pretty much dismissed Tyrone too, with Kerry at 1/6. You can't have any qualms with people being of a similar mindset, based on that."
It was same story going to PuC for the semi final last year. The game itself went to extra time. Saturday evening's game will take on a life of its own. I was consistent all winter warning about Tyrone. Out of Armagh, Tyrone and Donegal - Tyrone provided a tougher challenge last year.

There's a big difference between a Munster semi-final and a knockout All-Ireland match in Croke Park. Kerry were tipping along last year, but once they got to the business end, they laid waste to Ulster's finest. We saw similar last weekend when it was do or die against Armagh.
Tyrone, mainly through Kilpatrick who was outstanding, put up a decent fight last year, but they were physically overwhelmed all over the pitch. Kerry turned over a lot of ball and their forwards were able to find a lot of space. The game was over with a lot of time still left.

Replying To WanPintWin:  "It'll be a tough outing this weekend and I can't see much in it either way. Decision making in the last 10 will be crucial. We're not in the habit of beating Dublin in championship football and I think this one will go the wire. Dublin got a lot of joy last year from POCB on D'Arcy and they mopped up a lot of breaks. Ciarán Kilkenny was given the freedom of Pearse Stadium last year. We can't let him dictate like he did.
D'Arcy was exceptional against Westmeath, but he'll be up against a very different challenge on Sunday. We need to make sure we have plenty options for Gleeson.
If we can dominate around the middle, I think our forwards will take advantage. As we've seen all year though, momentum can swing massively in games. Even if we're a good few scores ahead, it's very unlikely the game will peter out comfortably.

At the end of the week where we lost a true legend of Maigh Cuilinn and Galway football, but more importantly a very good man, it would be a nice tribute in some way to Paul Clancy if we can get the job done. Sincere condolences to his family and all who were close to him.
Thug sé cuimhní dúinn a mhairfidh linn go deo. Suaimhneas síoraí dhá anam."
I hope Galway will honour Paul Clancy on Sunday by emulating his skills, spirit and fierce determination.

Last summer in Croke Park was impressive. It is no guarantee of anything this year. There are at least 3 counties left who will relish the challenge. That's what championship football is all about. A team can be considered to be the best and the most dangerous. No guarantee of anything though.

Replying To legendzxix:  "All 50-50 games. Baffled by those dismissing Tyrone. 3 of the 4 favourites going into last year's quarter finals fell at that hurdle.
If Dublin get through this weekend, they'll be hard to stop once they get on the momentum train of home league ground advantage at the business stage of the championship.
Galway are the away team on Sunday and will have to give extra consideration for that. Galway will be confident that if they get through this weekend that they have the game plan and players to go all the way.
Louth's results bar the blip in the Leinster semi final have been impressive. It would have me leaning towards them to get through this weekend.
Of the other 3 quarters, my attempt at predictions are: Mayo, Louth and Galway."
Poor Kerry, they usually praise any county but their own before a game, then when they've won the AI there's no stopping their self praise! Cute but transparent.

No guarantees of anything in sport, but 1/6 is about right in terms of Kerry's chances this weekend, based on the evidence we have. Far from a 50/50 and nothing baffling about most people expecting Kerry to win.

You be sick if you supported Roscommon, watching a poor Mayo team headed for a All Ireland Semi Final.

Mayo in a semi final having lost two games and played two div 2 teams and a team bet to bits in been relegated from div 1 ( Monaghan)

I'm a Roscommon man and we deserve nothing with the way we played against Monaghan. Thought Cork were really poor today. How did Donegal lose at home to that Cork team.

Mayo didn't bother about the League. They are not responsible for the AI Series format.
Your not a big Mayo fan?

Was the format a bit challenging to understand?

I might be wrong but didn't Galway lose to one of the teams that Mayo lost to. The other team is taking it to Kerry right now. Of course Galways track to this quarter final was as easy as you could get

Phew....

What a game

McCurrys 25 minute cameo might by itself be worthy of an all star.

Because cork scored more than them thank you for your deep insightful question.

Roscommon won their all Ireland though this year. Connacht is the limit of their capabilities. Fair play to them they gave it a good go but were found out by a superior yet very limited team in the all Ireland series. Galway and Mayo as is tradition flying the Connacht flag. For the rest of us three it is dreaming of a minor trophy
