I see that we'll be facing Down in the Tailteann... I would be worried after the hammering that was handed out to them today.

Down in the Tailteann Cup so, they might offer some challenge but I would still not show my hand here and wait for the proper qualifiers.

A great result, the ladies rarely let us down.

It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

Yes, a proper, good team. Congratulations to the Leirim ladies.

Using Galway as a benchmark Leitrim should have nothing to fear from Down. No more than a point between Armagh and Galway on all recent form, League and Championship. Galway 5 points ahead of Leitrim, a game many including Poacher believes ye should have won. Armagh 28 points better than Down, who will surely struggle to recover from such a defeat.

Fully expecting a Leitrim victory, Poacher will have us primed against his own county, we have far more quality than Down.

The ladies are an example of how to ignore population numbers resources etc and just get on with it, think they had a year where they didn't field but they've bounced back and gave great days out to the supporters.
If there was a connacht intermediate cup for mens game we could surely win a few but would have some questioning it's value and others crying about how to include NY in it as well as the senior one, you can't win

It'll be difficult but Leitrim shouldn't fear Down, who were handed out the biggest defeat ever recorded in Ulster championship football: 28 points.

Ulster football is some boiler room. Other than Antrim nearly anyone can beat anyone on their day, gotta love it. We have drawn quite the short straw, they will look to make mince meat of us without taking us for granted but after the last 2 performances I'm sure Stevie has a plan and if the stick to it, anything can happen, Down are a yo-yo div2/3 team and can have an off day as seen yesterday.

I would argue NY shouldn't be in the competition anyway

Three tough games for Down in succession, first Donegal then Armagh and next up Leitrim, 3 teams stacked in quality. Could be another long day for them.

Not the case, was talking to very shrewd Leitrim football men over the weekend, men thart really know Leitrim football and we all agree that Down are in for a long afternoon. We are arguably the 2nd best team in Connacht as proved against Galway. Not many teams have the quality we have as all Leitrim contributors on here agree.

Best of luck in the Tailteann Cup. Love to all.
