The last time Roscommon won the Connacht final in 2019, the captain was Ciaran Murtagh from St Faithleachs.

The last time Roscommon played in a senior All Ireland final (1980) the captain was Danny Murray from St Faithleachs.

The last time Roscommon won the national League in 1979, the captain was Pat Lindsay from St Faithleachs.

This years captain is Diarmuid Murtagh from St. Faithleachs. No pressure Diarmuid.

Unlike Mayo, nobody in Roscommon is getting carried away in Roscommon. We are just delighted to have unexpectedly won a few league matches. We are 66/1 and 70/1 for the All Ireland for God's sake.

1. Mayo supporters have backed Mayo down to 7/1 for the All Ireland

2. Ye all went bananas after Kolb ( great footballer) got a few scores against a beaten Monaghan team.

3. Mayo supporters all voted for Jordan Flynn as Gaa player of the week who kicked 4 scores (5 points) out of total of 2-30. Jason McGee performed better for Donegal last weekend than Jordan Flynn. Daire Cregg kicked 1-7 (1-5 from play) against a strong Galway team in a very competitive match in dire conditions last Saturday night.

All the evidence is that there is only one county losing the run of themselves.

PS. Do you really have to reply to all posters in different counties with negative comments. I do not think you represent Mayo supporters very well.

Majority Ros fans take staying up and decent run in championship. Would exceed our expectations but nkt yours as it seems for Mayo.
Were u one of the posters put in your place on the Galway forum lien about the 7 pages dedicated to Kobe.
Who by the way is a top prospect. But would read very little into last weekend. Monaghan were putrid and game was over when he came on.
Even from us iv seen Enda Diarmuid and Ultan do as much in championship at around same age as Kobe is now. A lot of pressure on his young shoulders. Too much hopefully he can stay injury free

Great to see this "7 pages" debate still raging on. Was Kobe involved in the Silgo\Clare game?

Here we go again, large attendance and they buckle again. 2nd to every breaking ball. Weren't smart in the first half regarding keeping possession against the wind. Personally i feel mgt made to many changes, the Brigids player's should have been brought on instead of starting.

No complaints about that defeat or manner of it today. Dublin probably driving home right now and left to wonder how they got it so easy in the Hyde against us in decent form.

All that we did well in games against Kerry,Monaghan,Armagh,Galway went missing today. We were poor in every sector, from kick outs, defending standing off the Dublin shooting and shooting efficiency the worse it's been since playing Mayo in the FBD in January.

Thankfully we have secured 6 points already and with two tough games to play that points total will fingers crossed keep us up

Hopefully the Dubs have found their rhythm now and can beat Armagh in Croker in 2 weeks and it'll be job done before we play Donegal the next day!

That might have been the best thing to happen to us today in the long run. At the same time losing by that much is unacceptable and a repeat in The Hyde is damaging. Dowd will have learnt a lot . There were certainly ten scores missed in about 15 mins in first half and the lack of composure and panic
As the game went on was
Startling. The changes may have upset the team
But you have to give game time for preparation of
Connacht.

Yes it's a reality check. Roscommon were being talked up as All Ireland contenders last weekend. We have probably done enough to stay up in Division 1 and that would have been the objective at the start of the League. I agree that Mark Dowd will learn plenty from today's defeat. That will be useful come the championship. Incidentally, Dublin were being written off and that seems premature after today. They'll be in the equation come Summer.

No i wouldn't expect so either. But Armagh will have to beat both Dublin and Kerry to have any hope of overtaking us and will also need us to lose our last 2 games and Dublin or Galway to finish on 6 points aswell as if it's us and Armagh level on points we will have them on H2H. Us losing our last 2 is a real possibility now, having to play the top 2 in the Division.

Reality intervened in a big way today.
But we didn't help our cause by doing just about everything wrong for most of the fame.
Hopefully it's not a case of not being able to stand the heat as the League hots up!
