Replying To Blackbog:  "When Div 4 started
Paddy Power had Antrim and Wicklow odds on Promotion
We were 15/2. we are now 1/8 for promotion.
Still 4 games to go .. i think we will get promotion and have a feeling rightly or wrongly that Tipperary could also go up.
They go head to head with Leitrim and Wicklow and I think they are capable of beating both"
And I would say both are well capable of beating Tipperary. In fact, Tipperary haven't bet us in a few years. Not many teams run out with 7 out of 7, some where someone slips up. And I also think Longford & London might have something to say about matters as well. This division is wide open. I still think the game between ourselves and yourselves will be a key one.

Could well be a crucial game
But fingers crossed we might be home and hosed by then

However I agree the division is wide open with 6 teams still in contention and antrim and Waterford definitely capable of causing upset.

Could well be proved wrong but I feel Tipp have not shown their best yet
Very lively forward line and strong midfield

It won't.

No need to be curt to our Leitrim cousins.
Both counties are the perennial minnows and when they have a chance of some kind of limelight if only temporary . We should allow that.
The Leitrim v Carlow game will have spice enough with the return of messrs Poacher and St. ledger

Thinking Tipperary might be a good bet at even money to beat longford at the weekend based on their form last weekend and whilst longford had a good win up in Antrim Antrim are going very bad and wind had huge factor to play in that game

Well you already have shown not to know much about thw Leitrim team so to be honest, I'll take that with a pinch of salt. I have nothing but respect for Carlow, we have both been in the lower Divisions for a long time. it's a pity you haven't got the same.

How is that exactly? Said you be doing well to get 2 wins from 3 v Antrim London and Tipp. You currently have 1. Nothing to do with a lack of respect just my opinion. I don't think it'll come down to the game on the last day as I think we will be promoted by then. So far in the league you've beaten London and Waterford, not sure why you think everyone should agree that you should get promoted.

You'd want to look back over my posts. I said we've a good as chance as anyone else. That's correct, bet 2 teams and lost by a point in a game we should have won. And next Sunday there's no reason why that won't be another win. And nothing to fear with Tipperary either. I would be worried about yourselves & Longford but games that could go either way. Rarely do teams win 7 out of 7 so there's lots still to play for in Division 4.

Ah come on now! Waterford are the worse football team in the league and championship and that's been the case for years, guaranteed two points every year.. If we don't set our targets higher than worrying about them at this stage, we're going nowhere fast. Leitrim and Longford could be awkward alright!

You're right completely. They have won 3 games in 5 years in the league, 1 game in all the years of the tailteann cup and who knows how long since a win in Munster or Sam. If we're not confident of getting a win this weekend, what does that say about us.

The approach is ... Take no one for granted .... On any given day a team can surprise ... Surely you have learnt that

Treat each team with respect and take nothing for granted. Look at Arsenal last night ....

Exactly. Whole thread is either waiting for the fall or over hypd.

Exactly, it's into the top 24 we're trying to get too, not top 16. If the hurlers were playing someone outside of top 16 we'd be only talking about margin of victory..
they need to take Waterford by at least 10 to show consistency which is required to compete at a higher level

We have 0 impact on these games. May as well be honest and say what you think, I think we will win tomorrow quite comfortably.

Apart from when George Graham and Herbert Chapman were their managers Arsenal have been as flakey as their neighbours. Arsene Wenger had a different approach to get success in fairness, although he had a few hard men on the team too.

Have we learnt nothing. Give respect to every team. Remember Longford last year in Tailteann Cup, we were supposed to hammer them & get a home quarter final?? Remember London in Dcp few years ago??? We are not a team that should be talking about turning up & winning by 10 points. I'll take a 1 point win now if offered it. 8 points on the board after this weekend is all that matters. Last year down in Waterford they made it a real slog & have some decent footballers. After 3 games in which they lost they only have a -11 point difference which shows they have been competitive in all games. Yes we should be beating Waterford but it's this type of game we often screw up. Hopefully we get over the line & them have 3 massive games against Longford, London & leitrim. The last 2 games are in Dcp which is a help

I'm just saying how I think it'll happen, if I'm wrong who cares not as if it'll have any impact over the outcome. Would rather give my opinion on how I think these game will go and be wrong than sit on the fence for every one of them.

Have we not progressed on previous years with the new manager! Surely we set our bar higher and comfortably beat the team ranked 32/32. Otherwise where are we actually going….

Yes we are improving but I'm watching Carlow for over 40 years & I only ever remember once getting promoted, that was in 2018 with O Brien & Poacher( he will realish coming back with leitrim) Give respect to every team. As I said we should be beating Waterford but in Div 4 anyone can beat you on a given day. Give respect to every team. If we go on & hammer them great, I'll take 1 point win
