Replying To alalalalalum: "Ah lads a bit of perspective is needed here. We beat the two teams that were bankers for getting g 4pts before this league started...and we barely beat them at that, could have lost in fact which is very ominous. The team that would show where we really were in the pecking order...Wicklow, we lost to.
I would hope momentum would get us to the top 2 but I'd say there's lads from the remaining counties looking at some of us saying a win over London was historic and shaking their heads laughing." You have completely missed the historic nature of the Leitrim win.Don't know where your from but down 14 pts in the first half & go on to win by 2 is rare in Football. I don't think there is anybody in Div 4 laughing at us- more like apprehension at meeting an almost fully fit Leitrim in full flow. It was an impressive win whether you agree or not while we should have beaten Wicklow who were helped by three questionable decisions to deny us scores. Predict victory over Antrim & Longford with Tipp & Carlow the challenge. Lots more to come in this Division

You have to take it game by game, and I wouldn't be looking past Antrim. I saw the highlights from the London game, and for all of London's scores our defender was three or four feet away from blocking them down. There are some good, honest footballers on the Leitrim team, with a few nice talented players mixed in, but a serious amount of work still needs to be done defensively before I'd be looking past any Ulster team.

It would have been nearly historic had London bet us by 14pts or more...the comeback was very impressive and showed good heart and a lot of skill, but they should never have been in that position in the first place.

Bornacoola played st brigids kiltooms second string in a challenge last weekend down in kiltoom. Naomh Brid running out winning by about 8-10 points. Probably not a bad result at all for the bors given the opposition

Ye have the new King of the Arc up there! Just saw Barry McNulty's exhibition of two pointers - outrageous shooting, left and right, and that free must have been taken from the next parish! Superb shooting.

Then declared themselves unbeaten after winning their first league game.

The Admin of this page has a lot to answer for. Why let so much nonsense be written here? Ruining the page for all real fans.
McNulty is a gem. Great for the county to have his shooting go viral like it has. Be interesting to see will he start against Antrim. Barry himself, Manor and Leitrim as a county can't afford him to get a third Hamstring injury within a year so its a tough decision. He's worth 6 points a game minimum to this team, aside from his shooting abillty, his workrate, aerial ability to win kickouts/throw-ins and the fact most teams will now double up on him will create space for everyone else.
Poacher would have had a lot to answer for with his selection and tactics only for McNulty last weekend. Antrim are on a desperate bad run of form but they are also a team we regularly struggle against.
Any update on the rest of our injuries (Keaney, Casey and Cox and Colm McLoughlin in particular) and Eanna McNamara? The young lad hasn't been looked after too well in my opinion from what I've heard, he needs medical treatment on his hips before most games for the last year and him 19.
Gaffey needs to start in goals now. It's not even up for debate. As predicted our defence is really struggling on all levels, physically, pace and positioning. Diffley most defenitly is not a 6 that is for sure. I see no reason why Poacher wouldn't try and go back for Radek Oberwan - he's out training with Allen Gaels and keeps himself in great condition or even Jack Gilheany.
I'd personally put Cillian McGloin back at wing back if he didn't pick up any knocks last weekend before being taken off.
He got it wrong last weekend but Poacher needs to be ruthless here. The management are up against it with the injuries we have had but the reality is we lost to Wicklow in a game we should have won, were really poor against Waterford and we were getting a trouncing against London only for McNulty. If we loose to Antrim thats us done. There should be a great buzz in the camp this week so Poacher needs to really go for it here. We should have lots of options off the bench which is huge in Div 4.
Killian Gaffey
Conor Reynolds Kieran Clancy Sean Harkin
Cillian McGloin Colm McLoughlin** Mark Diffley
Conor Quinn Barry McNulty
Tom Prior Keith Keegan Oisin McLoughlin
Paul Honeyman Ryan O'Rourke Ben Guckian
Could be smart to play Oisin McLoughlin or Beezer McKiernan - Antrim will be drawn to McNulty around the arc so having another shooter around there could be crucial.
Great to see the County Board finally showing some initiative and putting up the highlights of McNultys scores. This should be done for every game win or lose. Our youngsters/supporters need to see our own players every week instead of just the usual teams on the Sunday Game - Its something simple they can do which will make a difference.

Fair comments all round, I was at the game and thought some of the lads didn't travel due to injury as the programme had a different set of subs. I didn't see the panel named online before the game. Gaffey has to start but we'd want to be careful as goals has been a weak spot for us in recent years and we don't want to turn a lad off because of one bad game. McNulty is going to be a well marked man now. Regardless of how good the 2 pointers, he won't be getting the same time & space to shoot as he did on Sunday. It might be a smart move to leave him sitting on the bench this Sunday also. I honestly think we have a great shot at promotion and yes we should go hard for it, build on the buzz. It's Carlow's to loose and I think there will be more upsets to talk over the coming weeks. I'd be surprised if they win all 7 games which makes our game the more interesting of them all.

Agree with some of the above but Poacher did get it right against London with changes at critical stages in the game.of course we should have beaten Wicklow , Waterford are a tough ask for any team at home. Players mentioned are out with injuries but we have a strong team & the bench looks good. Agree Antrim will be a challenge but am confident we have the players to win especially Barry,Ryan & Tom Prior will be a handful for any team aided by our remaining strike force. My hope is that it a dry day plus home advantage a big home support & we will do the business. Believe !

Surely the video circulatiing of Leitrim's scores and Barry's genius should encourzge a big turnout.
You can hear the Leitrim crowd roaeing on the team in Ruislip. I expect Barry to be double marked and that should create opportunities for our other talented forwards.
This is going to be a tougjh battle, remember Antrim had a big win over us in Belfast last year.
