Really was a sensational comeback ! Evan Regan needs to be called up or at least asked by Andy . I know they have flaked out in Connacht before but I think they have learnt from the last 2 years and are determined to do better in Connacht . A much better club championship this year I think there were lots of guys who made a bigger effort to put their hand up to play for Andy & Boyler and not to forget Tally. Lots to look forward to in the new Andy era ! It will take a while but they will get the best out of our guys. Conal Dawdon of Westport is also a promising young talent ! Well the Kobe news that's been rumoured for months now is finally confirmed. Absolutely sickening because this lad was going to be the real deal. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11817 - 03/11/2025 11:27:59 2642783 Link 1 |

Fully agree. The kid is going to be a star. The amount of potential he has is off the charts. He has been a stand out the likes of which I havent seen since DC played at underage. Hopefully he returns in the not too distant future. Fionn (Dublin) - Posts: 4724 - 03/11/2025 11:36:02 2642786 Link 1 |

What on earth are you talking about ? How are we not being humble? We wish him the best . But it's absolutely sickening to loose this young star. He was probably going to bettter then David Clifford even . He could still well come back in 5 years he will only be 22. I don't think it's us that 'need to stay humble ' ! . He definitely has the potential to be, that is for sure.... I do think we will all see him playing for Mayo again though. Fionn (Dublin) - Posts: 4724 - 03/11/2025 12:24:46 2642795 Link 1 |

I think your right think he will be back at some point to. Maybe when Andy & Boyler get us back competitive again in the next few years he might want to put on the green & red again.

He's only 17 he prob wouldn't be in mayo side for at least 2 years we've seen a lot of great minors not have great senior careers. We lost mcdaid for 3 years and took him a couple to get used to back playing football jm25 (Galway) - Posts: 1739 - 03/11/2025 12:59:01 2642805 Link 2 |

What has you convinced Andy & Boyler will be around longer than Kevin & Stephen?

He's not a random lad being overhyped. The last 2 players that were talked about in the same way were Oisin Mullen and Pearce Hanley. McDonald will make it and not be seen for years or he won't make it and be home in a couple of years.

Eh it's gut instinct . Also you just can't compare Andy & Boyler to McStay & Rochford . Andy & Boyler are fresh , youth is in them . They are winners and they bleed the green & red . They would do anything to get the best out of our guys and us back competitive again. I have no dout they will be around MUCH longer then McStay & Rochford. I see they had a challenge match v Galway last night with a development squad and won. We have some fine young talents coming up. Rebuilding but I have every faith in Andy & Boyler.. ! Winners? As in Connacht titles...that's all they won.. Galway put out half the Milltown team last night... But sure ya ye are flying Galwaymaster9 (Galway) - Posts: 428 - 15/11/2025 22:31:27 2644650 Link 1 |

Steady on with the 3rd line. He hasn't proven anything remotely close to that. He was a good maybe very good minor, didn't anyway resemble what Clifford was doing (4-4 from play in the final marking Conor McCluskey). No problem saying he would be one of the best players in the country but don't say he was probably going to be better than David Clifford.

Need more than gut instinct to be in no doubt of something. Winners who bleed the green & red was Rochford and McStay also let's not forget.
