Didn't see that second half coming, here's hoping we can build on the momentum of this win.

Replying To GDL:  "I thought last week at HQ was bad. This is dreadful and no motorway home. Ciaran Fitzgerald once ask an Irish team during a game " Where is your Fu$king pride", it needs to be spelled out to these lads big time. Our so called big players haven't turned up again."

It's worrying to see how toxic this thread is from so called GAA supporters. Had Galway written off before the second half even began. Interesting to see what ye have to say now but the usual back peddling.
Yes they needed to do something to bring it back but the lack of football knowledge from some posts on here ye wouldn't need to be leaving the day job.
PJ made some changes to starting line up which worked well and there was grit from the start of the second half. More of that next weekend from the get go.

In fairness I was pulling my hair out at half time, but this group continue to give us great days out..
We could be gone next weekend but they give their all for the county and I salute every single one of them.
That was a tough tough group and we get out of it and move on..
The draw will be interesting...

Serious second half performance.
Why do we seem so lacking in motivation at times / as was the case in the first half today?
I can't understand it.
Switching the goalie backfired bigtime.
We conceded some amount of scores from wayward restarts.
Tough game awaits next week but fair play to them for standing up in that second half. Huge contributions off the bench today also.

I am launching a lawsuit against the Galway Football team for giving me heart attacks every time they play. Seriously though can they do anything THE EASY WAY???

So does that end the debate that Conor Gleeson is a better goalie than Conor Flaherty, and can people stop saying it's time for him to get a chance lost nearly every kick out,

Replying To Pope_Benedict:  "Likely over if we draw Kerry or Donegal next week. We need to get Down now realistically. That Meath Kerry result today was a bit of a disaster for 3rd place finishers. 2 chances of getting another sh1t draw now, one chance we get Down/Monaghan."
With all the injuries Kerry have and the lack of competitive games up to now, I think that is a very pessimistic view. Momentum is important now.

I don't need too. I was there, we were a disgrace, home truths at halftime helped. I standby my comment our big players didn't turn up, they have to do it every game and for 70 minutes. One player in particular needs to knuckle down and stop thinking he is playing U10 go games and doing stupid things. The team showed some "Fu$king Pride" in the second half, they owed us that. Now jog on, I've two hours more to home.

Championship winning mentality in that second half. An awful lot left behind with missed chances and they still bounced back. Bench made a solid impact. Céin D'Arcy is so underrated here, an absolute workhorse of a man.

Have a look back at my posts and tell me anything I said about the 1st half was incorrect or about the 2nd half for that matter? Is this Galway team playing well consistently and playing with a pace and energy for full games? Is Kelly the answer at 6? I think that looking at that 1st half display, derry match and dublin match people have a right to have questions.

Did anyone underrate him more than the lads that didn't select him to start in Derry?

Nothing lucky about that given, the hole we'd dug for ourselves. 8 points down at half-time, two missed penalties, at least two other missed goal chances, kickouts gone haywire and we still won it.

Just because you were there doesn't mean you speak for everyone that attended the game. I was there too. Great battling performance in second half, including some great scores, great tackles etc. To make a sweeping statement that our big game players didn't show up just confirms you don't know a whole pile really about football. Not sure why you go support them with such a blinkered view on things.
