O'MAHONEYS TO WIN EASY. THE SUREST THING SINCE BEEF OR SALMON IN HIS PRIME! I SAID IT A LONG TIME AGO, NAME ON THE CUP ALREADY

Surest thing since beef or salmon, beef or salmon always won in ireland, noting could touch him but when it came to the real deal across the water and the better competition, i.e cheltenham he always choked, so all in all beef or slamon is a good comparison to o'mahonys in recent years in the meath senior championship.

Nice one Alias, you also said before the semi-finals "DEFINETELY O'MAHONEYS VS TONES FINAL." ... I wouldn't count out an impressive Summerhill side who have quietly gone about their business all year! They also have many experienced players who have played on county teams like Mark O'Reilly, Gary Rispin, Rory Donnelly, Brian Ennis, Adrian Kenny, etc, mixed with numerous U21 and Minor winners ...

Was at both senior matches, In first one NOM was very impressive in first half. There forwards were impressive but a bit loose around halfbacks and midfield in second half. I think that Tones may have taken eye off ball a little early on in match and paid dearly. Summerhill were very determined and worked well for each other and deserved to win. Should be an interesting final with NOM being the more experienced (and consistant this year) having been there before. Sometimes the extra experience can work in your favour and on other occassions it may be of little value, however being a county final anything can happen. I hope it is good match and may the best team win.

I saw the summerhill Wolfe Tones match as well as our own.I thought that Wolfe Tones struggled throughout against a much fitter and stronger team. Some of the Wolfe Tones players(even their county men) looked lethargic and simply unfit.Summerhill came out of the blocks all guns blazing and have some really excellent forwards. My fear for them is that they simply wont have the monopoly of possession that they had against the O Mahonies , as they absloutely destroyed a limited Wolfe Tones midfield in the semi final. It was the Tones first then Seneschalstown and now Summerhill, i really hope that Navan can finally do this and get over the line.I know that people say that its the size of the fight in the dog and not the dog in the fight that counts or that the bigger stronger faster guy doesn always win but generally it is the bigger and stronger and faster man who does win and in this final , Summerhill are conceding size strenght pace ability and experience here.I think their best chance is if they can rattle Navan mentally or Navan go and kick another ten or fifteen wides in a final

huge incentive for Navan not to lose 3 in a row.. and while Summerhil are a fine young team,Navan i feel have another gear left... im impartial, as long as its a good final, thats all i care about, but i cant see Navan losing!

Yeah, Wolfe Tones , Sen'town and now the 'Hill. It take 2 teams to play in the final.
Seem to remember NOM being unbackable last year, anialiated Dunboyne in Semi and the rest is history.
NOM would have preferred the Tones in the final. S'Hill are similar type team to Sen'town and remember the Hill were probably better than the furze in last years QF but Joe and Brian Sheridan goals in a 2 min spell early in the second half effectively won the game. I expect NOM to win but only by a point or 2 but I wouldn't rule out a draw. I hope the blue and yellow colors don't bring back memories of last year or NOM will struggle again.

Bet any money the fabled hoops will get the jitters again and hand the Cup to Summerhill.

Amazing, if it was any other match, or even stage of the competion, there would be little doubt.

But it is the Blue Riband Final, and anything can happen.

However, I earnestly hope I am wrong.

Congrats to NOM, finally they've won the SFC again. But it was pretty dissappointing fare yesterday. The Feis Cup Final was a ripper, great finish. But as for the SFC, is it any wonder Meath are in the doldrums. That's supposed to be the best there is in Meath....well it was a fairly poor excuse. Summerhill are a young team and might have needed to taste defeat to bring them on as a team, looking at the age profile they will be back. As for NOM, the monkey is off the back and I expect them to have a good run in Leinster now. It's been 6 long years since Dunshaughlin gave Meath a Leinster club, I hope NOM can have a real good go at it
