Has to be O Mahonies. Cant see them loose again this year.
Especially with the management they have now.

Wouldn't say tones are miles ahead of everyone else, and o'Mahonys are gona slip up somewhere probably before the final. I'd say tones or summerhill from one side to meet the winners of the dunshaughlin-blackhall game. I'm gona go for a Blackhall - Summerhill final.

Extra time at all grades. Both hurling and football championships in Meath are both flat out at the minute so they will be doing their best to run it off so as to get a team into the Le3inster

Saw Summerhill last Saturday against Senchalstown in the Feis QF. Missin 4 on the night. Were put out by a late Joe show, goal with the last kick of the ball. The Hill have a lot of big lads, very big physical team, think they might come out on top against Dunboyne.
Dunshaughlin v. BHG: Possibly match of the Championship, a lot of history, and so many sideshows, Barry coached Dunshaughlin during the golden years, Ward involved with BHG when Leobald Thurley was there. Two of the best teams of this decade, one has to go.....me thinks this one will come down to who has the hunger.
Wolfe Tones vs Duleek/ Bell is an intrigueing match up. Tones are cruising all year but Duleek qualified out of Group C when it seemed Don/Ash were sure to get the Auto spot. Tones have too much in several positions, too many scoring options, and Duleeks overdependance on Pete Curran could haunt them
Don/Ash put one of the form teams (St Pats) to the sword and what better way to prepare for NOM, a good test ahead of what surely will be Don/Ash's biggest game since moving up the grade. Don/Ash seem to have the Midas touch at the moment, and I wouldn't be suprised if NOM turn up as a group of individuals again and contrive to throw away another C'ship everyone seems to say they deserve. They no heart, no hunger and no chance. It'sonly a matter of time before they capitulate again. Don/Ash to provide the shock of the C'ship

I reckon it could well be a team out of the spotlight to win it again this year. on paper o mahonys should win but teams like dunshaughlin, dunboyne, ashbourne will be hard beaten.

Was in Navan this evening for the NOM Ash game, NOM looked impressive but Don Ash were poor, didn't see what the number 5 got sent off for either, but was told he kicked out?? Otherwise NOM were a class apart, and when Mark Ward scores 1-1 it isn't a good sign for the opposition!! Didn't see what happened to him incidentally, looked in pain and was limping badly before being taken off

It was a huge performance by Navan O Mahonies last night.Every plaeyr was outstanding and the strenght and depth of the squad was shown again. If performances like that are repeated Navan will be very hard beaten.Well done to Sean Kelly

Strange decision by the referee to send Ellis off as he let two O'Mahonys men off a moment earlier who were punching an Ashbourne man on the ground. He was probably their best player up to that point

Well I got to three of the QF's and have to say I've been let down big time. Dunshaughlin fell flat against BHG, BHG are ok, but Dunshaughlin are not that bad a team, on paper probably better than BHG , but I have not seen Dunshaughlin play that bad in a long time. Have they been training hard, the looked very lethargic and never got out of the blocks. Summerhill and Dunboyne was like watching two bad heavy weights slug it out, low score, either team could have pulled it out of the bag. The wide open spaces of Pairc Tailteann might expose the Hills deficiencies. NOM came good last night and put Don/Ash to the sword, but the early sending off did impact the game. But overall the better team won. Anyone at Tones v. Duleek? Overall very dissappointed with the football I saw, games lacked real championship intensity, were played at a pace more suited to league, and disappointing to see Dunshaughlin, Duleek and Don/Ash capitulate. Not suprising so that another Group C team K'wood is in the relegation mire.
With those results I have to think we are headed for a Tones v. NOM final, but I still think NOM will choke again

Eh goosey not sure what side you were looking at things from, but from where i was sittin your number 13 was sittin on an O'Mahonys player and one of the O'Mahonys players tried to pull him off. Did you not notice your number 13 being booked for the incident?? All beit if the linesman did have to draw the refs attention to it!

pity we didn't see a 15 on 15 game last nite, thought o'connor was giving ward an awful time.
still NOM looked far to strong, d.bray and smith had great games. although i thought they took their foot off the gas and could have won this game by a lot more! inexperience shown by the don/ash lads.

should be a great semi with blackhall

Mr. Seal

FYI - The lads played late into last year in the Intermediate Leinster Championship, and the better lads played for Meath in the O'Byrne Cup, and also played for the Meath Juniors. In effect most of them were injured for most of the year or 'burned out'. We are delighted the progress we made this year and will give it a good lash next year. Any Don/Ash lads you heard talking up the team like that are of the 'doesn't every club have one of them' variety.

Congratulations to the team on making the quarters, and let's look forward to doing better next year!

Just one small point on NOM last night, we wish them every success but I'd be worried for them, Don/Ash played well below their best and were a man down, they could easily have put up a cricket score but didn't. I'd still expect them to get to the final as I saw Gaels play Walterstown earlier in the championship and they were very bad.

Slán.
