2010 O'Mahonys beat ratoath in one of the best minor finals I have ever witnessed. Ratoath didn't know what hit them as O'Mahonys physicality and tenacity was outstanding. Ratoath this year should win the intermediate on paper with many of this minor team now starting. But I reckon they will fall short in the business end. As team like kells/castletown/balinabracky will get seriously physical with them on the big day and they'll be windy once again. Joeshow12 (Meath) - Posts: 27 - 27/06/2013 16:57:18 1416984 Link 0 |

yes think we are saying the same thing, the clubs of OMahonys, Simonstown and Bective all draw from the Parish of Navan, Maybe you mis read or I mis lead by saying the whole TOWN of Navan but I meant the whole parish. Up untill this year there was a rule stating that the Parishes of Navan, Trim and Kells could not amalgamate with any other parish around them to play minor football. This rule had its origin from before the Dublin border villages expanded and the 3 main towns were the main centre of population Havoc (Meath) - Posts: 296 - 29/06/2013 10:21:30 1418029 Link 0 |
