I don't intend to enter the current argument but I too thought that "cowardlyasafox" was a Tones man. I remember him starting his posts and it was very pro Tones. Surely we can't all be wrong.

If that's true I think davy cahill will run the junior champ very close next year..he has a good record at inter level and would like to see him at a top senior club in the future.. Has he been managing teams in the last two years?

I hear Pat Coyle is the new manager of Skyrne, is there any truth to that?? Some people were saying he had taken over at Don/Ash also. Maybe he's taking the two jobs!!!!!

In my opinion Tones need to go outside the county again as with all successfull clubs they will have certain players who will consider themselves superstar-ish and may not put it in for a more local man, may be too familiar to them etc. My point is if they appoint a manager from outside with a good knowledge of the club scene in Meath it may benefit them more than going "local" or appoiny=ting from within either. Best of luck hope they get the right man.

with the amount of time its taking it's obviously a very thorough process, as with any process their are likely to be a few sticking points

It never ceases to amaze me the jealousy on this site towards Wolfe Tones. There are a host of clubs with managerial vacancies but they don't get half the posts that the situation in the tones gets. I am very sure the tones are being methodical around their selection as would any other club be. If they choose to appoint an outside manager then so be it, if they decide to go internally then so be it, why all the crap around players not respecting internal managers and the 'stars' the tones have. That is a load of crap. These lads know what it takes to win a Keegan cup and have always have a top class attitude no matter who was in charge. Thats down to their committment to the club and not because they are stars.

Why doesn't everyone else just worry about their own clubs and their managerial positions and then try to achieve what the tones have achieved over the last decade instead of coming on here and whining,

Minorstar fair play to you, your one if the only tones men here who talk sense.. I agree with what you said, and the reason I have posted on this forum is because I can't believe that tones men would come on here and begrudge there club and probably still have pints together at the weekend!! Hilarious!! Its your clubmen who are making this situation worse as these forums .. Whenever there was ever a problem in my club we would address the problem internally, not sulk here on HS!! Any more appointed managers within the county?
