Seneschalstown have a new manager. Any Mc Cann former Armagh footballer and I think he won a couple of championships with Seneschalstown. Could be a very good appointment.

Drona I know a few men from wolfetones so when you say they have men like dowd diamond and Heaney.. Are you trying to be smart?. Heaney is nearly 80 and dowd is as much a tones man as I am!! He played with them for a few years as it was convenient for him!!. nothing more!! I'd know diamond from seeing him at any tones game I'm at and he is a very passionate clubman, so I think it's pathetic to sneer at other clubs or members of clubs!! As I said I think your very bitter towards this club

While I wish Paddy Christie well, I'm disappointed that we didn't go for a club man this time. We've opted for outside managers a lot in recent years and have only had success through Eamon Barry. With the quality team he had at his disposal, I'm pretty confident that a clubman could have managed them to success as well. We have a lot of excellent coaches in the club. What must they be thinking? I note Ratoath are going down this road as well, despite the successful coaches they have. It won't be long before you see our coaches, and possibly Ratoath's too, taking up positions in other clubs if they are not wanted by their own clubs.

Sure ye were never shy about going outside the club for players, what harm is a manager going to do?

There are about 60 odd teams in Ratoath, so plenty of coaching/management opportunities. There's a by-law in our club also that you cannot manage an adult team your own sons/daughters have aspirations to play on, which narrows the possibility of a clubman. Not a bad rule though, nepotism has ruined many a team and club.

Im surprised the Dunshaughlin job wasnt given to Michael McHale and his backroom team of Reilly and Dowd, They have had great success at Junior B with limited resources the last few years ,Probably only thing holding him back is that he would be too friendly with the players but Id say in a few years he will be given the job

I'll take that on the chin rath_togh. Glad to hear that you have 60 happy managers over there.

Apologies for the double entry of my last post!
