Intermediate Hurling Championship

RINO i agree with you that dunderry have some good young players but its a few older experianced hurlers that have let them down again!!! ted dowd probably should have walked with a few minutes left.. wolfetones scored some great points but dunderry made it easy for them with alot of fouling in scorable positions.

SHIVERMETIMBER: one thing that springs to mind is karma.. you have been spouting for weeks saying dunderry would win the championship outright, and now your saying the team that bet you's by 7 points (which by the way i think you said dunderry would win by 10 points, u were 17 points off ) havent got a chance and you see only one winner.. strange!!!

by the way i thought bob doherty had a good game, caught some great balls and they have a very accurate free taker in callaghan..

shiverme timber I think you might have that the wrong way round Id imagine its the tones being in the final of the inter hurling thats causing the co.board problems. The way some of you guys talk about the hurling youd nearly think that it actually meant something.

Isthis4real, I came on earlier admitting the error of my ways. I dont need a kicking when I am down. Certainly wont be doing that again. I was both stupid and a long off saying a 10 point win from us but I am trying to front up by saying we were beaten by the better team. Thats all. In the spirit of the GAA hats off to the winners and I will be at the final just looking forward to a good game. And the last piece of pie im gonna eat is I am genuinely sorry of I upset anyone.

Must mean something if you have to comment. As always a football is better in a football county BLAA BLAA BLAA. Says GAA on the tin.

johnsee ....... we are a football county! you would agree? like kilkenny is a hurling county!! you would agree ?? but there is a difference
kilkenny concentrate on hurling and win all irelands........Meath concentrate on football and play division 3 and cant even win a leinster and there is only 3 teams in it.......
Maybe hurling should matter

Well said Royalfan1. As far as the football will quote the usual mantra we have been hearing for a few years. WELL NEXT YEAR

Royal fan last time i checked there was 11 teams in the leinster football championship, you obviously dont know much about how the co. board run football and hurling here, I only wish we gave the same time to football here as kilkenny do to hurling, its the same old whinge all the time from the hurlers that they get treated badly when in fact they get plenty of time left aside for hurling. Do you honestly believe in kilkenny that a chap would be asked to play in an intermediate football semi final the day before he plays in a hurling semi final. And kildalkey man what year will I expect the hurlers to be in the leinster final.

Maybe if the hurlers got as much money thrown at them as the footballers do hurling may improve. Football needs to improve a lot before Meath football can hope to WIN a Leinster final

lads yis are gone off topic. heard hurlin finals both on sunday 21th in navan. seen tones play on sat and not a bad side. but think it'll depend on which rathmolyon team turn up. think their stronger than last year and if they have it right on the day they will win! seem to have the more skillfull hurlers all over field wit 3 coles 2 lynches 4 fagans whove all played county throughout there time and youngest fagan whose a class act

If Tones manage to hold the 2 Coles then they have a great chance. No one could see Rathmoylon getting beaten last year but they were.

surelt theirs more to rathmolyon team than just two players as good as they can be, same goes for any team, even kildalkey, took serious team effort to do what theyve achived? goin to be whoever wants it more on the day and same goes for senior final

Yes I am back but not up to my old tricks. I was just looking at the previous posts and thought it would be good to ask Kildalkeyman a question. How do you manage to keep M Cole quiet. He might be in his late 30's but I still think he is a fantastic hurler. Still very fit and hasnt lost any of his hurling ability. You also have to remember with the two wing men he has in Farrell and Fagan they are a very formidable side. Be very hard to call anything but a Rathmolyn victory on Sunday.

was at final last year and rathmolyon panic'd after goal they gave away but as a team this year the look solid all over the field. tones a strong team but hurlin wise the mit just be found out. rathmolyon will need to work but if they do they should do it this time round!!!!!

Just wishing both rathmolyon and tones well in the inter hurling final on Sunday. I am lookng forward to a good game and I hope that it is a showpiece for intermediate hurling in the county. I think it will be a tough game and tight but I see a Rathmolyn victory,

I'm by no means a hurling expert, but I really enjoyed the final as a match.
Sure the ref had issues keeping up with play, BUT, I thought he did very well over all, and was delighted to see how he used his supporting officials as and when required.
There were some fantastic scores from both sides, and although a there were plenty of hard tits and a couple of questionable digs, I thought both teams played the game in the right spirit. It was also interesting to see the difference in fitness levels of the lads that play inter county football towards the end of the game.
