Its all down to the day!! Few surprising results this year so far but that counts for nothing unless you have made the knockout stages.. Rathmolyon and CNG will be favourites but every team is beatable. Rathmolyon were better last year and are over reliant on the Cole bros.. it will be close between all the teams left..Intermediate is a sticky grade and there wont be any team getting beat by a big margin!! yourname (Meath) - Posts: 24 - 06/09/2012 14:02:16 1260700 Link 0 |

From what I've seen Athboy are looking good to jump back up. Does anybody know if any of the remaining teams have any challange games coming up in the next few weeks? BelieveinMeath (Meath) - Posts: 121 - 07/09/2012 19:27:22 1261827 Link 0 |

I just see the football set for 29/30th September, thought this was a hurling weekend. Has this been changed and if so why no fixtures up..... Do i smell a little trouble? Shivermetimber (Meath) - Posts: 124 - 12/09/2012 13:38:11 1264789 Link 0 |

The game between dunderry & blackhall showed the big difference between a team of 15 players against a team of 9 lads made up of backs and midfielders and then havin 6 forwards that jus want all individual glory. Blackhall had county player in at full forward even though he has played midfield at county level and was a waste till he came out to middle of park for 2nd half. It was bad seein blackhall loose cause with talent they have it would be good to seen them winning out. I seen Gaels at few matchs this year and yesterday they didn't play to best, mayb decisions on line cost them. Jsb (Meath) - Posts: 64 - 16/09/2012 10:28:10 1266852 Link 0 |

Re:BelieveinMeath. I know some individuals can be a bit slow on the up take on something new. However seeing as you insist on still calling Clann na nGael, 'Athboy' even though it's a full ten years since we amalgamated, it makes me hope that you don't be allowed out near the traffic unaccompanied too often. hootervillian (Meath) - Posts: 310 - 16/09/2012 19:11:19 1267157 Link 0 |

Ah. Dunderrys to lose now. Great win v blackhall yesterday. Now for tones and get ready for final. Shivermetimber (Meath) - Posts: 124 - 16/09/2012 20:51:58 1267229 Link 0 |

Kilskeer were very wasteful in the quarter against Rathmolyon. They could have had 3 or 4 goals in first half. Rathmolyon took their chances well and pulled clear with the help of M Cole frees. Their full back line is suspect and it maybe something Athboy could take advantage of in semi. toon (Meath) - Posts: 247 - 18/09/2012 10:37:53 1268130 Link 0 |

Re:BelieveinMeath and toon. What do you boys think might win the intermediate football, Baconstown could be hard beaten I'd say. What do you think, I say Baconstown because both your brains seem to be running about 10 years slow. I suppose Kilcloon might win the football either, it's hard to know isn't it. hootervillian (Meath) - Posts: 310 - 18/09/2012 11:55:02 1268196 Link 0 |

hootervillian this is a thread about intermediate hurling? You miss that in title or just a bit slow! toon (Meath) - Posts: 247 - 18/09/2012 14:58:43 1268393 Link 0 |

The fact that my sarcasm is completely lost on you just re-enforces my opinion about you being let out on your own toon. I was trying to highlight the fact that a ten year old amalgamation seems to have missed your attention. I actually cant believe I have to explain that. hootervillian (Meath) - Posts: 310 - 18/09/2012 19:08:11 1268610 Link 0 |

Apologies Hootervillian. Work with a lad from athboy and both he and I always call the club athboy. I suppose its the fact they used to be such a strong club all by themselves, that I forget that they're struggling as an amalgamation now. I cant remember now, but when they joined up did Rath cairn have a junior A team at the time? sorry off topic now BelieveinMeath (Meath) - Posts: 121 - 18/09/2012 20:40:13 1268654 Link 0 |

From a hurling point of view the traditionalists will always call it Athboy that is just a fact of life. Similiar to Aviva always being called Foley91 (Meath) - Posts: 418 - 19/09/2012 09:48:13 1268769 Link 0 |

Its a pity they fixed the IHC semi between athboy (sorry Clann Na Geal) and Rathmoylan for the same time as the Senior Final between Longwood and Killyon. Would liked to have seen both BelieveinMeath (Meath) - Posts: 121 - 19/09/2012 13:16:26 1268924 Link 0 |

Fairly sure no-one playing hurling for Clann na nGael has any real issue whether you call it Athboy or Clann na nGael, it's hardly even worth discussing. Haven't seen Dunderry at all year so don't know what they're like really. Did they not get beaten fairly heavily in their second game by Kilmessan? I'd say Clann na nGael will win but a close game. I seen Rathmolyon playing earlier in the year and they weren't that good. Loinne (Meath) - Posts: 61 - 25/09/2012 17:00:46 1272623 Link 0 |

Clan Na Gael to beat Rathmolyn but will be a close game, Dunderry to hammer Wolfe Tones, and the final..... Shivermetimber (Meath) - Posts: 124 - 25/09/2012 17:07:22 1272627 Link 0 |

Loinne- There are two senior hurling semi finals in Pairc Tailteann on Saturday. Intermediate couldn't have been played later because of lack of daylight so cb prob had no choice with timing. Jubilee.Express (Meath) - Posts: 32 - 25/09/2012 17:08:29 1272631 Link 0 |
