Intermediate Hurling Championship

What has gone wrong in the county board that Kilskyre had to travel to Trim for a game only to find that O'Mahonys couldn't field could nobody have informed kilskyre that There would be no game. Then there was no stewards there only one man on his own for 2 intermediate games what would have happened if there was an incident at the games or someone got hurt, the scoreboard didn't even work as there was nobody to work it. Why was there no neutral linesmen there either.
Yet we hear that Trim want the hurling finals to return to the club, I don't think so on this effort. I hope the county board looks at this effort from Trim and don't give them any more games this year.

Was at the game in Trim yesterday and was amazed that there was no notice of the Kilskyre game being called off. Hard to believe that and also that NOM could not field an Intermediate team. Stayed for the second game which I thought was poor. Ref was poor for both teams and Wolfe Tones got out of jail it has to be said. Let Dunderry back into the game and Dunderry could and probably should have won it. Some of the play from Dunderry was awful and dangerous. I know they were seriously up for the game but their play was bordering on the dangerous. The championship is wide open now and all to play for. Anyone harbour a guess to who will qualify from either group....

He sent off a Dunderry man,not a Tones man. There was a ruck and the tones man was just pulling wildly and the Dunderry man took him to the ground. I thought their should have been 2 sending off's. There were 2 penalties and one 21 meter free.. Tones got a goal from the free but missed the penalty. Dunderry missed two easy frees which would have killed the game but their accuracy in front of goals was poor from play also. The balls they put into their forwards was poor. It was to predictable and all down the center, where Tones played low balls down the wing. Poor game Overall and the ref was very inconsistent. Giving soft frees and then wouldnt give a free for a foul. Think he should stay reffing football.

The Dunderry man was sent off for striking the Tones man, Tones man had to leave the field for a few minutes because he had blood coming from his nose, the Tones no14 was sent off about 10 minutes from the end as well. That makes 2 sent off.

Ashbourne 1.13 Ratoath 1.11
Athboy 1.10 Blackhall 0.10
How does it work now score difference wise with Navan giving kilskyne walkover? Surely all results with Navan involved will be scrapped and it will be 5 team group? Or will Navan be allowed to fulfill remaining?
Rathmolyon were missing Mickey Cole for their last game and rumours are he has quit playing with them, massive loss.

Derek Muldoon has been Australia for the last year im pretty sure he left before they got knocked out of the championship last year; I heard it from a fairly reliable source that he could make a return to Ireland for a couple of months later in the year if Kilskyre are in the shake-up... he would give them a massive boost. Kilskyre seem to be going well enough, Tommy Shine has been a massive addition + they didnt have Peadar Byrne in either of their first two matches he will be a big addition if/when he returns from the county football. Cole would be some loss to Rathmolyon if the rumours are true.

i believe trim got no notice about the kilmessan kildalkey game last week and that is why it was called off so late . fits in very nicely with a kildalkey wedding last weeek end also. second this thing of sunday evening fixtures has to be sorted. kilmessan kildalkey could have been played thursday evening in the slot that was originally fixed as a league semi final. during the league also alot of div 2 and 3 games were for sunday at 5 and 6 o clock. it just isnt fair. sunday afternoon family time has been a no no all year with the fixtures.

have to agree with you there, my club always seams to get sunday and monday evening games which is not on
certain clubs always seam to be playin friday saturday evenings which is perfect to get full numbers out
same clubs generally have links to certain county board members shock horror
at the start i thought it was just by chance but over a period of months now its plain to see whats going on

All you have to do is look at who does out the fixtures and what clubs they are involved with (Kildalkey for instance are the only club who's intermidate team play before their senior team, they also have a selector and player who is a referee in the same grade they play in, and their fixtures never get tied up with club weddings, they have a manager who is constantly running on the field to get involved with other teams and never spoken to by referees,.......................... it is something to look at

thats exactly who i was talking about
i have no problem with there manager he can do what he wants to be honest
its the way there games are always fixed while others always are gettin the short straw
how a person with such close ties with a hurling club be let set up the fixtures is a joke
if any other club tries change the day/time of a fixture its next to impossible

have to agree on the manager front. We were advised that if we entered the pitch we would be and have been fined. Every kildakey match ive gone to there manager is constantly on the pitch but I doubt there dishing out fines every week to kildalkey or else the club would be broke. Its no mystery with the fixtures and any club who hasnt got an involvment in the fixture making are screwed.

its not sour grapes at all, just look at the fixtures for the last few months it says it all
bit of fairness is all people want

Were Kilmessan short a few for that Kildalkey game. I didn't think there'd be that much between them

not sour grapes at all! more look to them, do you not think its a bit strange rip? and be honest. Some clubs this weekend are playing without county players because of fixtures (imagine how hard it would be to hold a game on Monday night) it would be similar to moving a game to a thursday night from friday night, like mr M already did for his own club.

would totally agree with the kildalkey thing..i know 3 r 4 clubs tried to get games changed for proper reasons and they were just told play or loose the points.i think its the weaker clubs are treated like rubbish and the bigger clubs can do want thry want..this goes for hurling and football..i also think have you nothing else to chat bout when you mention kilskyre..all i hear is rasher muldoon this n that..ive seen kilskyre play a few times this year and are really steeping up to the marker with him gone.i know he is a loss to any team but every team in the country has the same problem.
