maybe ur right royaldunne, but the way this team is been set we are going nowhere.playin corner backs and halfbacks in the half forward line is not the answer,i dont believe we need to copy every one else, but we have to start playin young fast lads who are good ball players in our halfback line and natural fowards who are willing to work in the half forward line, the reason we got left behind is because we had no pace in either line and were completely one dimentional, with the emergence of menton lenehan, tobin, mcanarney, and gillsenin we can start playin good attractive football again,id sooner see us get bet playin football the meath way than watch us get beat tryin to keep up with other counties, what have kildare ever won or likely to win sweet f*** all

Another laughable account of Football from Meath, we are goin to end up being the whipping boys of this table. I cant believe I wasted my time and money going to that game today. Looks like we are going to be relegated along with Louth. All shape has been lost, i dont know what sort of structure was on out there. Lacked penetration. Subs were useless and brought nothing into the game. Forwards were headless and non existant

A waste of time and space. We cant even get wins in our home ground anymore. Think a trip down to Division 3 would be a true reality check.

Disapointing, first Meath game I left with time on the clock says a lot. I have lost all faith in this team.

I have lost whatever little faith I had in the management. No substitutions until very late in the day and they were ineffective. 15 wides and no wonder with a two man full-forward line isolated from the rest of the team. Large group of our players constantly hand passing sideways inside the Derry half or around midfield and no direct ball option available without a target man. Stephen Bray had a very good first half but dropped deeper and deeper in the second and tried to do it all himself. Graham Reilly lots of pace and ran and ran, but you cannot do it all on your own either, but then very few other options available to them. Bradley cleaned out Mickey Burke good and proper. Alan Forde has two simple enough chances late on for points. The only good thing I saw in the game was that Bryan Menton is far more involved in the play from the CHB position. Another crap Summer is on the cards.

1 Tyrone 5 5 0 0 9-64 0-55 36 10
2 Kildare 5 3 0 2 4-70 6-64 0 6
3 Galway 5 2 1 2 3-61 3-61 0 5
4 Meath 5 2 0 3 4-63 2-57 12 4
5 Monaghan 5 2 0 3 5-69 3-75 0 4
6 Derry 5 2 0 3 3-55 5-60 -11 4
7 Westmeath 5 2 0 3 2-52 4-64 -18 4
8 Louth 5 1 1 3 1-68 8-66 -19 3

We will have to beat Louth now on the final day to avoid the drop. They are probably the only team in the lower half of the table the players will look motivated against.

Tyrone vs. Meath
Derry vs. Louth
Monaghan vs. Galway
Kildare vs. Westmeath

Westmeath vs. Derry
Meath vs. Louth
Tyrone vs. Monaghan
Galway vs. Kildare

It's a good job we beat Monaghan and Westmeath because it is going to be very tight after the final round of games. Good job too that they still have to play either Tyrone and Kildare away.

This stupid basketball game banty plays is not suiting the lads at all . I feel hes just changing round players and making subs willy nilly and hopeing things fall into place .tyrone will make fools of us if something dosnt change.i know poeple will say its easy to blame the manager ,but the buck stops with him and meath football is at an all time low!

Meath wear lacking a target man, hopefully Shane O R can be the missing link when back fit. Bray continues to be Meaths best forword this year. Meath need to figure out who is the free taker and how to take your chances when they come

Ok rant first. Way too late with subs especially forward ones. Gilsennan hadn't best day but still played ok , bray was very good 1st half, 2nd kept going deeper, at beginning of match thought the idea of biggy in half back line might work, it didn't despite him been very good we need him in forwards.

I am not one for blaming managers but think some positioning was odd.
Main point is we kicked 15 wides some very poor ones in there too.

Now is it just me or does this team look very tired? Same as last week. What the hell are the doing in training?? Is it all just weights?

Totally deflated after that "performance", Graham reilly start the second half at wing back what on earth is the thinking behind that.
Fellas carrying the ball for about a week refusing to kick the blasted thing, forwards standing like lady liberty over in new york.
Also what is it that drives meaths wing backs to turn back into the tackle,

these lads are going no where under banty, its time to let him off and invest in underage in the county and maybe we will have a team that can compete in six or seven years, the county board are only looking for a short term fix with banty, its time to look to the future,if meath dont do something about underage soon we will be light years behind most counties

Also Gallaghers distribution was shocking, is Paddy o rourke not worth another shot as goalkeeper
his big kickouts were a great advantage
