would be a great surprise if the minors made it to the all-ireland final. been way too long since we were there.

hopefully coogan and osullivan can reproduce that form against mayo in the semis, they were both kicking some great points from play with both feet against tyrone.

Be very tough against Mayo, our minors seem to have the usual strengths ans weaknesses, decent forwards, poor defenders, with no real system of play

So all SFC, IFC and JFC games are off to give the minors extra preparation! Bit of a joke if you ask me, surely a good competitive game would be no harm?

Have to agree in the loop, we have another thread on here wondering why county players dont play well with their clubs well why would they with things like this being done to facilitate them they end up like a bunch of prima donnas. At the end of the day if the county panel is going to be strengthened up its going to be by players who can perform in the latter stages of the club championships more so than the minors. The way some people are talking about the minors you would think the whole future of meath football depended on this game, much more important to have your club championships being run off on a regular basis. This is going to create a serious backlog of fixtures because if you look at the intermediate and senior teams that are left in in contention a good few of them are dual clubs. By the way I still wish the minors all the best and hope they win its just that I dont think its that big an ask for them to play this week. Another question is what happens with fixtures if they win on sunday week.

take a leaf out of our book and play da games and not the minors. snr, inter and jnr teams should b able to play without these players but i know that in small clubs that is rarely possible. (im 16 and play jnr with my club and so many more are starting to do same.)

Message for our county minors. Best of luck guys against Mayo.Ye will have to play even better than ye did against Tyrone. Ignore any negativity.Listen to your managers and give it 200% on the day. Your County is behind every one of you on the panel.
