He was probably picked on the strength of his performances for St.Pats... im not up too up to date on the case to be honest but considering that he used to play with Dunsany and he wants to play for O' Mahonys I dont see how this isnt a fairly clearcut case, the two clubs are even that close together so either he is living in Navan or Dunsany and that should be the end of it in my opinion.

Has he played with Dunsany this year or last. I wouldnt be up to date with the case either (no one seems to be willing to talk about it). Has a decision been made about the transfer. Dunsany and Navan are only 10 mins apart actually.

the case was heard and a conty committee meathing and the transfer went to a vote and was refused by the delegates to the best of my knowledge he has not turned up in dunsany since. now i ask you is this fair on players who play for the clubs week in week out that he plays? by the letter of the law he should not be playing for meath navan and dunsany are 10 minutes tops

Regardless of who the manager is both McEntee's completely deserve their place and to suggest otherwise is an insult to both Andy and the two lads.
Was at the game and thought it was a very solid performance, particularly in the 2nd half when Louth had the wind, some very dogged defending!

its a joke how theres no omahonys players on that team ! no surprise to see a few mcentees on it since andy mcentee is manager ! same story !
That is a crazy statement. Both well good enough. Shane should be captain and is probably best player on team. Him being the managers son may prevent him from being captain but that would be a shame, iv watched him a lot over last 2 years. Natural leader, great team player and never a bad word come out of him to team mates.

On the ROC situation. I snooped around and apparently he has not played with Dunsany in minimum 14 months. Very bad to see a player being played without being part of a club. Should Dunsany allow there name beside his on the team lists etc. If the delegates voted no then he should go back to Dunsany and play. They are a div 2 minor team with a very good team. They are struggling at minute without him. Dunsany have 2 meath minors at minute and O Mahonys have none. But Navan want to steal a Dunsany star. Do thye not have enough to pick from. I know Dunsany will struggle without him. NoM wont.

i think its a bit unfair to say o'mahoneys want to steal a dunsany star , ruairis father won senior championships with o'mahoneys and ruairi himself played there as a young lad .. and what would you expect o'mahoneys to do if a serious young talent wants to move to them ? say they dont want him ??

there will have to be drastic changes in order for the meath team to go anywhere this year and some new players brought in.

anyone who says mcentte is there because of his father has no real knowledge about gaa..he was midfield out of his age last year?? on the captain note andy wouldnt give it to him, harnain will be captain !!! will be interesting to see who gets the number 1 jersey this year with robbie burlingham, and jack hannigian going for it. would like to see hanigian getting it, great kepper. i also think there is not enough representitives from the div.1 power houses ( dunboyne/kilbride, ashbourne, ratoath) at the end of the day div.1 players win all-irelands not divison 3 ones.

Agree with Bigflint. Hannigan deserves the number 1, and there should be one or two more players from Ashbourne Dunboyne or Ratoath

Ratoath were involved with colleges football so that's why there were no representatives in the last couple of group games. That will change shortly I should think. Great performances from our young royals. Looking like a good team.

Wallace and Power will be the only two from ratoath i would think . And im surprised to see people saying the ashbourne keeper should be number 1 .. no doubt he's a great keeper but i would have thought robbie burlingham has proven he's the best keeper in the county at this age

Hopefully no one!!!!!! - Even if it improved the fortunes of the county team? Small minded at best!

On a brighter note I see Ratoath College beat Belmullet 3-9 to 0-4 yesterday and are through to an All-Ireland final.

meath wom 1-17 to 1-12. mcentee played very well when he moved out to the middle of the field and jason dowdall was excellent at full back when he moved in there nothing spectacular but he seems to read the game a lot quicker than others at his age

i have seen this meath minor team train and play alot this year and in my opinion if they are to go anywhere andy mcentee will have to go look at more club matches.

Why? Do you reckon you/your teammates should be on the team?

Ha your on the ball. The usual with Meath under age teams. If me or me brother or cousin or best mate or certain lads from my club arent on the team then theres something wrong with the manager.
