Just had a look at the meath team for the match against Louth tomorrow http://www.hoganstand.com/meath/ArticleForm.aspx?ID=163137 is that the final panel? Looks like a fairly strong team to me, plenty of players from last years team in there.

Interesting selection. Great to see lads getting a chance. Few serious players on bench as well. Does the rule you must play with your club to be selected for county not stand or what is peoples opinion on this.

He was probably picked on the strength of his performances for St.Pats... im not up too up to date on the case to be honest but considering that he used to play with Dunsany and he wants to play for O' Mahonys I dont see how this isnt a fairly clearcut case, the two clubs are even that close together so either he is living in Navan or Dunsany and that should be the end of it in my opinion.

Has he played with Dunsany this year or last. I wouldnt be up to date with the case either (no one seems to be willing to talk about it). Has a decision been made about the transfer. Dunsany and Navan are only 10 mins apart actually.

I don't have any confidence in our under-age teams, however I do admit I do not know many of these lads.

True! But are we fancied to win this game or what expections do the team have? Rated better than last years team?

Looks to be a decent team but most of the team are made up of the Pats team that lost in the first round of the Leinster Championship so that doesnt bode well. The full back line looks to be weak aswell.

So are Louth expected to win this one?

Jenkinstown gaels are a combination of Blackhall Gaels and Moynalvey.

Do they only compete at minor level or are they amalgamated at all juvenile levels

Interesting to see 3 Simonstown Gaels players in the squad and they also had 3 players in the U-21 squad, its a good sign for the club. I think overall that this team looks stronger than last year; Harnan, Mc Entee, O' Sullivan were some of the better players we had last year.

3 goals in the first 15 minutes or so left it 3-0 to a point for Louth. Two Ward penalties either side of a goal for Barry dardis. Meath put some great plays together and in a second half against a really strong wind they kept Louth to a single point with some really strong defending. Fully deserved to win by the margin they did and was some great fielding by harnan in the middle. Very impressed with them last night.

Well that's good news after the disappointment of the under 21's. Who do they play next?
