Seneschalstown were pretty poor today, as someone said earlier over reliant on the Sheridans. They gave a way stupid frees that were bread and butter for Ward, and once they Joe Sheridan in at full forward he becomes a distraction as all their play becomes focused on trying to get the ball into him even though Tones had him wrapped up so tight he had little or no chance of winning the ball, when they tried to play one off for him he couldn't get them. Wolfe Tones played some nice football at times despite playing without a full forward, they won some handy frees and capitilised on them.

Well done tones and Navan. Should be good final in two weeks. So much for harringtons injury! He'd a super game. If he was or is carryin a knee injury would he be risked in hurlin final next week? ! ?

Them Fecking Tones men they codded me with the Harro injury. They get up early round Oristown and Kilberry. He did look a little injured did he not just a little maybe. Think I tip them now just to give them the widows curse that will sort them out HA Ha. Hard to get one over me ya boys ya.

Was it me but taught the refs where a little dodgy Reilly got it right on the disallowed Ashbourne goal but made a few strange call. The 2nd ref who ever he was was really poor Miles behind the play walking round the pitch getting fooled for frees all day long and slowing the game down at every chance suited the Tones as they where ahead. Not giving the stone wall peno at the end.

Wolfe Tones looked the best of the 4 teams playing today and on todays performance I would fancy them to win the final . Saw Mick O'Dowd ,Trevor Gilles, Colm Brady at the games today .I hope for there sake there's better new talent in the other club teams in the county because the standard of the football today was very poor .

I saw them there in deep discussion after the games.

Having watched both games yesterday I thought it ironic that some of the best individual performances were from players who no longer feature in the Meath set up and from one or two who have never featured.....

I have to agree. I was there for the first game only and thought that Paddy Smith and Barry Regan(when introduced) were outstanding for O'Mahoneys. Gary O'Brien also deserves a mention.

Niall McKeigue played well also. But it was a poor enough game despite some very good individual scores. The Tones vs. Seneschalstown game would give me a little hope and positivity for the future of Meath football in a way the earlier match did not. Although I expect it to be a very good final.
