Tones didn't look good at all. Pat's shot themselves in the foot, they got a man sent off four minutes into the game for an off the ball incident so had to play pretty much the entire game a man down. Bad game for the neutral, even with 14 men Pat's kicked tons of wides and wasted loads of possession and Tones did a lot of cynical fouling and their passing and handling was very poor. Tones keeper was lucky to stay on the pitch after a terrible tackle which the referee bottled and only gave a yellow.

Think Donaghmore will win it now, S'Town are a handy side but beatable,NOM have the talent but always seem to blow it . Any one at the our game? thought ref was an absolute joke ,and hes supposed to be one of our top refs ??? Think Coldrick should of reffed it to be honest

Andrew Collins is in with a great shout of landing the no.3 jersey for Meath next season if he keeps this up.

Tones v Pats match was an absolute shocker, totally agree, compounded by the moment of lunacy at the end of the game where one of the Pats players decided to assault the linesman with a good dig in the back. I was standing right beside it before any Pats men decide to jump down my throat, disgraceful behaviour no matter how hard done by you feel. Should be staring down the barrel of a lengthly ban.

Sexyboy,I don't know where you got the tones cynical tackling.Ref gave a lot of strange decisions.I didn't see the incident where the Pat's man was sent off but 2 Pat's supporters said that he had struck a tones player. It was a poor game with both teams kicking some terrible wides and the closest we seen to a goal was when Cian Ward struck the post in the first minute.Overall the tones were just about the best team but major improvements are needed. It's a long time (if ever) since Cian Ward never scored in a match.

Sexy boy the tones keeper went for and played the ball ,however is effort was clumsy and did warrant a yellow most def not a red.

Clumsey is an understatement regarding the sending off, extremely cynical would be more appropriate

Analyst i was very eager to reply to this comment u made last wk but i didnt want to jinx either team before they played. since 2009 everyone has said the wolfetones are finished.. post 2008 wolfetones have lost only one group game to dunboyne in skryne and that was first group game in 2010!! only games they have lost have been in knockout stage of championship. ( not bad for a team that are finished )and sench town are a team that cause big upsets ( summer hill this year ) as they have good players all over the pitch as do the tones.. don/ashbourne and o'mahonys are always hyped up to the last and have great teams on paper, friday night kevin reilly injured, buck regan, mcguinness , finnegan, daragh smith all warming up on sideline not to mention d.bray no where to be seen, thats some bench!!! but this could be there year.. the two semi finals will be very interesting games.. looking forward to both games!!

JOHNSEE i have to agree with you seems like tones have a lot of begrudgers out there!!! there game wasnt pretty sunday night but they got over the line against a hard working outfit in the pats.. from talking to wolfetones supporters before the game this was the team they feared most in the quarter final!! hard to predict winners as any of the four teams can win the championship

If you were able to read back in time on here you would see that I have often been accused of sometimes over praising the tones. Tones will be hard beaten for sure but being honest they are not the team they were but by the samtoken neither are the other teams, while there is no doubt tones can win this year I don't thnk seneschalstown can, and if turtle do then it says a lot about meath football. It is very open but its now or never for don/ash but if they fall to I mahoneys then it's tones year

Analyst, you may be accused of having differing views about the Tones but you are definitely anti Seneschalstown. Sench have as good a chance as any of the other 3 teams left in the championship and have proved over the last 5 years that when they get to the knockout stages they are hard to beat. Now that Andrew Collins is back to full fitness and playing good football and the addition of a few younger lads they have a great chance. But as usual time will tell.

I still think seneschalstown are the team to beat.they are a great price at the minute at 4/1.

Donaghmore's year I think. Still shocked though by the Dunshaughlin semi from last year. We'll have to wait and see but it might have been part of their learning. Farrell is a massive loss though

I really think Navan are a class above the remaining teams left. I would have D/A behind them in second and then a bit of a way back to the other two teams. I seen Tones playing earlier on in the year and I thought they were poor. They rely too heavily on Niall McLoughlin who runs the show and I think you'll see teams starting to nullify his threat in the upcoming games. Also if teams can limit Cian Ward to a couple of points from play and cut back on the fouling that's basically the Tones taken care of. I realise that's easier said than done but it is only two real areas to concentrate on and I honestly don't think they are the team they once were.
Navan seem to have a more balanced team this year than before when they were trying to fit all their county men onto the team in positions that clearly didn't suit them. A battle I am really looking forward to seeing is Stephen Bray vs Cormac McGill presuming that's the way they match up.
Verdict for game 1: Navan by 3 or 4
Verdict for game 2: Sench to get goals and win by 6

I fancy Ashbourne this Sunday.Navan have great talent but year after year they bottle it in when it comes to big games, Sean Kelly will have the inside track on Navan and ashbourne should have more hunger considering they've never won a senior. Ashbourne by 5.

I think Senchelstown in the second game.these are 2 old teams who've been around the block a few times and know what it takes to win the big games. There will be plenty of goals in this game and i just fancy Senchelstown to shade it.
