Summerhill v Seneschalstown in SKRYNE. In my opinion not a venue to Hold a Senior QF. Small enough pitch with a relatively poor playing surface and not the most comfortable spot for supporters watching a game. I would have thought if they decided not to play it in PT then either Dunsany would be the better option. The other QF's, two in PT and the other in Ashbourne where there are very good facilities for watching a game. Diego (Meath) - Posts: 1205 - 13/09/2012 13:29:23 1265583 Link 0 |
Couldn't agree more nothing against skrne they r tryin hard 2 upgrade there facilty's but not d place 4 this game when at d same time Navan is sitting empty to me it seems like a lot of favours bein pulled within d fixtures commitee. I think seneschalstown will it this year. There the dark horses of the senior championship and they will be hard to beat now that there into the quarter finals. frogd60 (Meath) - Posts: 95 - 26/09/2012 21:11:07 1273534 Link 0 |
simonstown have'nt a prayer against omahonys , the omahonys will win the championship at their ease. parneller (Meath) - Posts: 32 - 27/09/2012 14:19:37 1273766 Link 0 |
I think Navan will beat Simonstown but will lose to Ashbourne in the semi final. There without doubt the most talented team in the county but they just can't seem to put it all together and dominate the club scene the way they should considering all the county players they have. Brave statement that Simonstown haven't a hope, they are in better form now than in any time in the past few years and thats without their two county "stars". O mahoneys are nowhere near the side they were a couple of years back and everyone knows how over hyped they were so wouldn't be over cocky about the hoops, S'Hill should be too strong for a fading Seneschalstown side, If Don/Ash can't account for this Dunboyne side then they may throw their hat at it. Most interesting one is Tones and Pats, it would be of little surprise to me if Pat's were to take Tones, Pat's are no bad side and Tones like Seneschalstown are fading fast Analyst (Meath) - Posts: 1508 - 27/09/2012 16:16:34 1273871 Link 0 |

O'Mahonys should beat Simonstown tomorrow. Should be a close match. seamusmac (Meath) - Posts: 379 - 27/09/2012 19:03:31 1273970 Link 0 |
simonstown have every chance against o mahonys as this is a derby match with no second chances. they will be underdogs and we all know how o mahonys fail when they are supposed favourites. the o mahonys players that i have talked to know they have a tough task on their hands 2moro night. o mahonys have performed better as a team this season without some of the county stars so it will be interesting to see what happens if simonstown make a quick start and get an early lead. i think a point will seperate them at finish but too close to call. meathcrazy (Meath) - Posts: 2 - 27/09/2012 19:15:05 1273976 Link 0 |
O'Mahoneys, Summerhill, Dunboyne and St Pats for semi's................ Dunboyne beat Don/Ash in Feis cup easily, they are not as good as people say. St. Pat's hammered them in league, so not playing well in the last while. Can't see O'Mahoneys been beaten, too much talent. Summerhill too strong for Senchelstown and St. Pat's have he guts and determination, just not sure if they have the talent that Wolfe Tones have up front but I think Pat's will come through. castleroyal (Meath) - Posts: 57 - 28/09/2012 12:27:54 1274195 Link 0 |
castleroyal dunboyne beat ashbourne in the feis cup by a point in the last play of the game. that's hardly easy.?????? and ashbourne then beat them by 3 points in the league a week later so it's an even game for me. I fancy navan summerhill and pats in the other games awol67 (Meath) - Posts: 125 - 28/09/2012 13:27:59 1274235 Link 0 |
Four good games in store. I'll go for O'Mahonys, St. Pats, Summerhill and Donaghmore/Ashbourne. men_of_49 (Meath) - Posts: 2019 - 28/09/2012 13:39:18 1274247 Link 0 |
