I think we can beat Louth in the next round of the O'Byrne Cup.

i agree ,whilst the game last sunday wasnt too pretty at times ,i feel there is enough of progress to warrant a win against the louth lads .

One of of One. Banty element seen us tru. He was quite aminated on line and good to see it. Lucky Monaghan left their shooting boots at home. 11 second half wides and 14 in total compared to 6 from Meath. I'm happy enough.

Next week our away win... fingers crossed...

Two out of two.

Wasn't Westmeath the worst inter county team you ever seen. I think even Kilkenny where better in OByrne shield last year.

Can I venture that Meath made them look like that ? Maybe.

I have to say Meath very very strong and won all the physical battles that is when the ball was involved. Pushed Westmeath off the ball very easy. We also appear to have some pace although against a better side a few of our backs would be exposed.
Brian Meade has really gone off the boil. I genuinely taut he would become the next great midfielder 2 years ago.

Any way 2 out of 2 on my predictions..... I really hope I get the next one wrong but expect a kick back from Kildare after their 2 losses and that spells Big Danger for Meath

Not a lot, being blunt. Having been well beaten 3 times in the last two years I think that a win against Kildare next week will be important to this Meath team come the Leinster championship. It is not clear yet if Kildare's poor start to the League is due their not taking it too seriously, or if they in fact beginning to decline and strugglling to motivate themselves. I doubt it is the latter, but they will be even more dangerous in Navan now that a defeat will put them in grave danger of relegation. So Meath be warned. But whatever the outcome of the Navan game, the most important thing at this time of year is a good performance, and in particular, a good 2nd half performance. If Meath can begin to do that they can beat Kildare come League or Championship.

However, in the absence of a credible midfield, a Leinster Final is the summit of this teams' legitimate ambition.

Hmm I said it already but if we get to leinster final we will most likely win it as a lot of this team played in 10 and will want to put that right and I do not believe whoever the opposition is that they will stop them doing that
But hear and now is whar counts. Banty is doing good job at minute and he seems to have injected pace into team that has been lacking. So I think for moment let's concentrate on trying to be promoted anything else is a bonus in this league

I think Meath could have gud season this year but I think its vital they win there next 2 matches because it will leave them with 8 Points and with 2 home games in the league left which i hope that we could win which wud leave us with 12 points and more then likely in the league final which give us competitive games right up until the start of championship which can only be gud and back in the top divison of league football as far as the championship goes if we can keep winning in the league and keep creating monentaum and a winning habit and confidence it can only be good and i think if we can reach the leinster final we are well able to beat Dublin and anything after is bonus of i am just holding out good hope and staying postive look if you can get a good run the league it should lead to a gud run in the Championship and you only have look at the success Dublin Cork and Donegal have enjoyed over the last number of years due to a good laegue campaign I hope that some supporters agree with my point of view

so far so good in the league and in the championship we have an easy ride for the first time but what meath need to do is keep there head in the game for 70mins

Pity but I'm at 3 out of 3.

I genuinely feel that Meaths last substition was a bad call no place for old legs in last 10 minutes when the game was in the melting pot. The 2 or 3 hits (all fair) he got when he got his first ball gave Kildare a big lift and the cheer factor which coinsided with his arrival was well and truly muffled.

Kildare got their scores easier and that was the difference and the last score of the game really quailifies that point.

Really have a bit of hope that my 4th prediction could be wrong we may get another win on the road down there. Time will tell

I agree with atta 100%. No team has ever done well in the championship without a decent midfield.
