Hey 12 Royal I heard that a couple of weeks back about the Ashbourne lad taking over. Shouldnt be too much of a stir as some of the lads that live in Ashbourne .

Paddy Kelly probably for Hurling in Ratoath. I have heard that the Moynalvey manager is defiantly gone and Brendan Kealy from Dunshauglin is taking over.

1067196 Eamonn I hear is going to become director of football in Ratoath with PJ as manager according to the A.G.M in Ratoath

Since the actual club AGM is not until next week and the adult football AGM was only held a few days ago I would love to know what AGM you are referring to. Where are you getting your information about Ratoath or more to the point what particular pot of s***e are you trying to stir??

Oh you haven't upset me but people involved with football in Ratoath have been upset by this speculation and the poor way they have been treated with regard to whether or not they will be offered the opportunity to continue in 2012. The appointment of a new manager or re-appointment of the existing manager didn't even get near resolved at the Adult Section AGM as the whole committee resigned but then again that should be no great suprise, most decisions regarding managerial positions in Ratoath seem to be made behind closed doors with no input from anyone as the recent appointment of the u-21 manager openly highlighted. Other media outlets in the county who published the "Barry to Ratoath" story are claiming to have picked it up from this forum which was extremely unfair to the existing management who have worked hard and deserved better than to hear of a potential succesor to them in local media before they actually heard anything from the club, which I still don't think they have in any way shape or form.

Well who would of thought it , something written on the hoganstand isnt actually true?? Whatever next!! sure does anyone really believe what they read here until it actually happens?? and what journo would actually run with a story that was picked up off the message board of a internet website where the source cant be verified? What will they run with next?

Absolutely agree Lagorex. The standard of journalism has reached a new low if they are taking rumours on an internet forum and presenting it as fact. Even if they are just reporting it as rumours, it is still ridiculous given the general amount of nonsense that gets spouted on this (and most other) message boards.
I have no idea what is happening in the Ratoath club, but I reckon the people involved need to develop a thicker skin, rather than getting upset about every little bit of tittle-tattle that gets aired on this site or in other media outlets.

Tony Kearney is taking over at Rathkenny, bit of a waste of a good manager really going there. Youd think the co. Board would be trying to get the like of him involved with the co.minors or u-21s. but no he probably wouldnt dance to their tune so he wouldnt be wanted in there.

LMFM sport had it yesterday evening that Kearney was stepping down as St Fechins manager and that he was most likely taking the managers job in Rathkenny.

That is a fantastic coup for Rathkenny. In my opinion the Rats are not too far away from the latter stages of the championship and with a bit of luck might even win it. TK might just be that little extra that they need. A proven manager in both Meath and Louth having won local provincial and national titles. Best of Luck Rathkenny in 2012
